Those captivated by wanderlust need look no further.
If your destination lies beyond the horizon, Princess Yachts offers a breathtaking perspective on how your journey should commence. A re-design of the Princess V50 has left little doubt that this re-make of an iconic model is going to be nothing short of spectacular, partly due to the influence from yacht desginers Olesinski and Pininfarina. The V50 will be offered in boat a classic express yacht build, as well as the V50-Open, which removes the cockpit doors for an open-style main deck layout.
This is also a faster boat than its preceding model. Shipyard representatives described the initial sea trials as "impeccable" with "sure-footed handling and a smooth ride." Standard power includes twin Volvo IPS 600 440mhp engines, however owners building their own may opt for IPS650 engines. The new Princess V50 will reach speeds up to 31 knots, but cruises extremely comfortably in the mid 20's. The range has also increased thanks to a larger fuel tank which tops over 400 gallons.
And with a draft less than 4 feet, finding your own adventure in the islands can be confidently and comfortably enjoyed.

At first glance, the exterior lines flow fiercely towards the pointed bow, whose sharp, v-shaped hull pierces waves as it glides effortlessly in the water. A long, knife-shaped hullside window adds to the aggressive presentation while also benefiting the interior through an inflow of natural light. Stainless steel bow rails are apparent from the cockpit forward to the anchor windlass. The deckhouse on the V50 is as sleek as its lines, with large salon windows both port and starboard.
Beginning aft, the bathing platform is wide and covered in teak for comfortable footing. The V50 has the option for the swim, or bathing platform as it's called, to be electro-hydraulic and mechanically operated with the push of a button. When the swim platform is in the lowered position, Princess has included transom steps to easily access the stern. A very deep storage area for fenders and other water toys is also found at the transom behind a watertight door.
The cockpit on the V50 is everything you desire for outdoor living and entertaining. Large wrap-around seating, a dining table, and the wetbar/BBQ grill provide plenty of socializing opportunities, while the teak flooring, overhead canopy for shade, and the NAIM stereo speakers facilitate the appropriate mood. An optional aft mooring station is also found on the portside to assist with docking that includes a joystick and anchor control. This extended outdoor living space will allow you to create unforgettable memories you never thought possible, all while venturing to exciting destinations.
Also worth mentioning, the side decks are noticeably wide and deep for a 50-foot yacht. Combined with the high bow rails, movement from the cockpit to the large foredeck sunpads is safe and easy.
As you enter through the salon doors, there are an abundance of large windows and it is eye-catching. The picture windows port and starboard certainly add to the views and natural light, but it's the open section in the hardtop above the forward interior area that is most impressive. This massive sunroof not only let's in a ton of light, but it also opens completely with a touch of a button, providing a strong flow of ocean air when the cockpit doors are opened.
The timber flooring, soft, light fabrics, and earthy tones create a pleasant atmosphere in the salon. Portside is a U-shaped sofa with dining table that can easily seat 6 guests. Portside is a cabinet with an electrically-controlled television set along with the interior helm. The helm seats are a big upgrade from the previous V50 and the dashboard is ergonomic in design for your comfort with twin Garmin 16" displays.
Centered between the end of the salon sofa and the helm station is a short staircase down to the lower salon and galley. The galley is well-equipped to handle meal preparation during a long cruise or when entertaining guests. The Sylmar white surface countertop provides ample work space. There is also a 2-zone ceramic cooktop, microwave/oven combo, grill, porthole for ventilation, a full height refrigerator, and plenty of storage.
Also in the lower salon area is another U-shaped sofa, table, Fusion stereo, and lots of storage opportunities throughout the room.
The lower deck accommodations of the V50 are traditional in terms of layout, as there are two cabins and two en suite heads. Owners can choose to add a third cabin during the build process, but Princess chose to keep the two cabins standard as they possess an incredible amount of room for a yacht of this size. Beautifully appointed, each cabin features large berths with storage, over-sized windows, and beautiful finishes. For adventures that require multi-night stays, the V50 will undoubtedly leave you rejuvenated for the next day's activities. The VIP suite bathroom also acts as they day head for the boat.
