While the American market waits for its debut this Summer, the new Princess Yachts S78 Sport Bridge was first unveiled to an anxious crowd at the Boot Dusseldorf Boat Show in January. The S78 is currently the largest of the Princess S-Class model line which also includes the S60, S65, and the popular S72. The S-class series has been an attractive options for Princess buyers as they combine the benefits of owning a flybridge yacht with the sexiness of a sport yacht. While the first thing you might notice about the S78 is how she looks, it’s in the engine room that sets her apart. Twin MAN V12 1,900hp engines propel the Princess S78 to 39 knots while cruising in the low to mid 30’s. Twin fuel tanks with an interconnection system give you 1,585 gallons. Refined, captivating, and sport, the new Princess S78 has something that every yacht owner can fall in love with. While the first boat in the U.S. is already sold, there will be a second unit available arriving just in time for the 2018 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.

The most stunning attribute of the Princess S78 is the cockpit which features a wide variety of entertainment options. Teak stairs lead up from the swim platform centerline over the tender garage and come to twin sunpads port and starboard. These are amazing spots to lounge in the sun and enjoy the ocean. A U-shaped couch and folding table are adjacent to the sunpads offering a perfect area for dining alfresco or enjoying a conversation.
Heading from the cockpit up the teak stairs to the sportbridge its immediately noticeable why this yacht is special. The sitting space designed on the sportbride was well-planned with a massive L-shaped couch, coffee table, and wet bar. Two helm seats are centerline in front of the controls while two L-shaped loveseats are placed on both sides, giving comfortable sitting space near the captain and that can face the larger couch on the bridge. All of your guests on board will be able to easily fit in this space and enjoy the breeze and view from the sportbridge.

If the wall-to-wall windows weren’t enough in the salon, the S78 also has a massive sunroof that opens up the inside for a truly indoor/outdoor experience. The appointments are what you would expect from Princess, luxurious and modern, that seem to perfectly fit the ambiance of the boat. The salon is lined with an abundance of seating options from a U-shaped couch to several chairs and loveseats, so much that you could double the boat’s capacity and everyone would still have a place to sit. The S78 is also said to have perhaps the most advanced high-tech music system of any yacht on the market today. Princess collaborated with NAIM Audio, the distinguished creator of audio visual systems, to design a one-of-a-kind experience when it came to entertainment on the S78. The sportbridge, salon, cockpit, and master stateroom are all integrated to provide a completely synchronized music experience that is all controlled from a single app. The result is a concert-like experience that is as remarkable as the yacht itself.

The owner’s suite stretches the entire beam of the S78 which provides for plenty of room even with the large double bed, sofa, dressing table, and the wardrobe hanging lockers. All four staterooms on board have en suite heads for maximum privacy and comfort to guests. Additionally there is another twin cabin for crew on board. The abundance of storage and windows in the staterooms make extended trips pleasant as the natural light makes staying below deck feel welcoming.
