Luxury cruising yachts have changed and the Absolute Navetta series is leading the way. With trend-setting designs and efficient performance, the Navetta series has appeal to both traditional motor yacht owners and offers a truly luxurious option for "slow-cruising" aficionados that may want a more modern look. In just a few short years, Absolute Yachts has been awarded numerous accolades for the Navetta series. The flagship Navetta 73 has won both 'Boat of the Year' at the Slovenian Awards as well as 'Best Innovation' at the World Yacht Trophies in Cannes. Similarly, the Navetta 48 won the same 'Boat of the Year' award in 2019.
"Since we became a dealer, Absolute's Navetta models have been at the top when it comes to popularity," said Jay Hendrix, Vice President of SI Yachts. The team at Absolute hasn't completely re-invented the wheel, but rather made a commitment to making each area of the boat the very best possible with an emphasis on comfort. Small, personal details go a long way. Consider breaking down a yacht into sections. The flybridge is one section, the cockpit is one section, the hydraulic swim platform, and so on. If you were able to compare each section, side-by-side, with the competing yachts in the Navetta's size and class, the differences are often subtle, but powerful. The combination of an abundance of natural light, intelligent use of space, and these thoughtful details in each section create a winning model series for the Italian luxury yacht builder. Below, examine several of those subtle differences.
1.) We love the Summer Kitchen.
Almost every yacht today has a hydraulic swim platform that lowers down into the water and allows for some great sunbathing. Launching a tender or scuba diving off of the yacht become much easier with this feature and it's generally a given that your luxury yacht will have one. But the rest of this space is often more utility than entertainment, such as a door to the engine room or extra storage. On the Navetta 52, Absolute has created a summer kitchen to further enhance the sociability of this area. It includes a grill, a sink with fresh-water, and counter space for food preparation. Lower the platform slightly to grill with your feet in the water - a truly unique experience!
2.) Finally a foredeck lounge and sunbathing area that isn't missing anything.
There's no better place to enjoy the sun from your yacht than the bow. Most luxury yachts today have turned this area into a sunbathing station complete with sunpads and drink holders. The more sophisticated brands in this class have also added a pedastal table and seating for enjoying a meal al fresco. Absolute's Navetta models go the extra distance by not leaving out a thing. The new Absolute Navetta 68 is a perfect example. The sunpads are placed forward and can comfortably fit four guests. The outsides of the sunpads are lined with drink holders. Moving aft, there is a space between the sunpads and the u-shaped couch with outdoor table. Speakers are hidden, but deliver exceptional sound. And best of all, you can easily install the over-head canopy for extra shade while at anchor. What was once considered an after-thought years ago, the modern luxury cruiser seeks to maximize the foredeck space for socializing. No one has executed this better than Absolute.
3.) Yachting is fun in the sun, but sometimes we need a break.
How many times have you attempted to serve cocktails or hors' devours in the aft cockpit only to find the rays from the setting sun still too powerful to really enjoy yourselves? The team at Absolute understands that after spending the day lounging on the bow or snorkeling off the swim platform that maybe a break from the sun is needed to rejuvenate. The aft cockpit dining space is a popular area at the end of the day to unwind and enjoy a meal. The retractable shade, as seen here on the Navetta 52, is the perfect detail to compliment the comfortable dining space.
4.) Sun or shade? It's your choice to make on the flybridge.
It's hard to imagine a more perfectly designed flybridge than on the newest Absolute Navetta models. The outdoor grill, wet-bar, and sound system will keep the party going or create the perfect evening ambiance. The seating and dining areas are abundant and comfortable. There is even additional space for sunbathing with a gorgeous view from the upper deck. The Navetta series hardtop though offers owners and guests options on how they want to spend their time on the bridge. With a sunroof in the hardtop and a retractable sunshade aft, the flybridge can be a sunbathers paradise or an escape into the shade. The Navetta series flybridge will leave you and your guests wanting for absolutely nothing.
5.) Twin or full sized bed in the guest stateroom? You decide with the push of a button.
Sleeping arrangements can often leave some guests that are couples sleeping in separate beds. Now your guests can sleep in the same bed after a romantic evening under the stars with the push of a button. On the Navetta 68, for example, one of the four guests cabins has two twin beds that can converge to form a full-sized berth with the push of a button. A fantastic option from a thoughtful group of designers at Absolute!
