Update on 2/15/2019 to our previous blog post.
The Absolute 62 Flybridge has been spotted at the Miami Yacht Show. Yachting Magazine did a walk-through of the new 62 on Facebook Live. Here's the video:
The Absolute Yachts 62 Flybridge "will magically show up to charm the nautical world" next month at Boot Dusseldorf 2019, the largest European Boat show. Absolute promises that the premier of the 62 fly will be a "real revolution that only a live visit could reveal."
SI Yachts will have one of the first 62 Flybridge models in the U.S. in stock at our Staten Island Marina location in early Summer of 2019. It will arrive just after the all-new 48 Navetta which will also be in Staten Island. The Absolute 62 Fly promises to offer the market a fresh look at a mid-sized flybridge motor yacht that even an inexperienced owner/operator can handle with ease. The Absolute 62 is noticeably similar to its sistership, the Absolute 58 Fly, in its sleek lines and signature Absolute style. Both models feature the large port and starboard windows which seem endless in their heigth and width along the salon, but are also present in the hull. The staterooms below deck benefit from the extra light, but also from the essentially on-water views.

Outdoor Space on the 62 Fly:
If the final result of the bow lounging and sunbathing area ends up being anything like the 58 Fly, the 62 will be quite popular. Known for creating a sunbathing oasis on their yachts to enjoy the Italian sun, Absolute uses massive sunpads on the bow in the shape of an island with room to walk around all sides. Aft of the sunpad is a large couch with built-in drink holders and comfortable cushions. Owners and guests will find this space very enjoyable, particularly when she is at a nice cruising speed.
The teak swim platform is large enough to hold a tender if needed, or hold multiple lounge chairs or beach mats. This area quickly becomes a favorite of sunbathers for its proximity to the water. Too much sun? Simply roll off into the sea. Two teak steps lead to from the swimming platform to the aft cockpit which is covered by the flybridge overhead, providing extra shade for whoever may be dining at the cockpit dining table. Outside steps lead up to the flybridge for easy access. The real treat in this area of the boat is the electrically powered aft door window which when lowered, connects the galley to the outside dining area.
The flybridge has a noticeably large empty space aft for extra seating, sunbathing, or water toys. There is an additional sunbathing area adjacent to the flybridge helm and console.
Main Deck Salon & Galley On The 62 Fly:
From the aft cockpit to the lower helm of the 62 is a straight line on one main deck. Having the salon, galley, dining area and lower helm all on one level and it open up to the aft cockpit provides a wonderful socializing and entertaining area that almost stretches the length of the boat. The galley is placed stern for the purpose of being able to cook and serve guests in the aft dining area or easily walk dishes up to the flybridge. There is a dinette with a U-shaped lounge opposite the galley and lots of well-planned seating in the salon.
Interior Accommodations On The 62 Fly:
The Absolute 62 Fly features a 3-stateroom each with their own en suite head. There is a crew quarters and head placed aft below the cockpit and adjacent to the engine room. The master suite is placed midship and stretches the full beam. Again, the extra-large windows in the hull give the owner's stateroom a picturesque view and lots of light. There is a couch, vanity, and an abundance of storage. The VIP stateroom is placed forward in the bow and feels large due to the double berth that faces starboard. The third stateroom features side-by-side bunks.
Propulsion And Technical Information:
For power, Absolute Yachts trusts Volvo Penta marine engines as the propulsion system on board most of their yachts. Volvo engines tend to be slightly heavier but are very durable, reliable, and offer plenty of power to get the boat moving at a desirable speed. The 62 Flybridge preferred set up are twin Volvo D-11 950 IPS 725hp engines that give her a top speed above 30 knots.
