The Palm Beach International Boat Show has grown in size and popularity in recent years coming to be known as one of the top boat shows in the world. And that's one of the reasons that this show was chosen by Princess Yachts to debut three of their newest models to the U.S. market - the Y85 Motor Yacht, V78, and V50 Express Yachts.
The downtown West Palm location of the Palm Beach Show makes it convenient for those travelling in, but it also allows you to spend more time on the yachts as the crowds are always smaller than the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. If you plan on coming to the show and want to schedule a private tour of any of our Princess models, please give us a call at (718) 984-7676 or email us at Sales@SIYachts.com.
With the popularity and success of the Princess Y88 and Y82, the new Y85 will seek to offer a slightly different feel than its siblings, but with all the same hallmarks that makes Princess one of the top motor yacht builders in the world. The new Y85 recently made its world debut in Germany at the Dusseldorf Boat Show and received very high praise from the industry editors in attendance.
Fast forward to the 2-minute mark to begin coverage of the Princess Y85 by Power & Motor Yacht:
Princess has perfected the social aspects of their yachts along with their legendary performance and construction. The flybridge is intelligently designed to offer a wonderfully shaded haven to enjoy the view and the ride. Adjacent to the twin helm seats is a comfortable lounge that can fit several people or offer a place to lay down. Overhead is a retractable sun roof that can offer shade or a beautiful view of the evening sky. Place mid-flybridge is a full wetbar across from a u-shaped couch and table for dining al fresco. Finally, the aft section of the flybridge has a 2 or 3 person sunpad along with space for a crane and tender or extra seating.
The interior of the Princess Y85 is just as spectacular as her exterior accommodations. The single-level main deck is lined with large windows for excellent natural light and is incredibly spacious. The galley can be arranged per the owner's preference and the salon and dining spaces are luxuriously appointed. The lower deck accommodations also have great windows for being below deck which adds to the ambiance of the staterooms. The master suite is placed mid-ship and stretches the full beam. It features plenty of closet and storage space along with several sitting areas and a master bathroom with his-and-hers vanity.
The new Princess V78 is very similar to the popular S78 in terms of the interior layout and style, she's just missing the additional sport bridge. The S78 recently made its debut as well at the Dusseldorf Boat Show and the Princess team had the opportunity to share a few photos.
As you can see from the V78 layout below, the main deck is a single living space that features a straight path from the swim platform, all the way through the salon, and to the staircase to the lower deck. The galley, salon, dining area, and helm are all in close proximity which is great for when multiple guests are aboard. Having the galley placed aft also enhances the cockpit experience as it becomes easy to serve food and drinks when dining outside.
Seen below is the salon on the V78:
The new Princess V50 is as versatile as it sexy and fun. The V50 can be ordered with either an open or enclosed main deck configuration depending on how and where you plan to use your yacht. You can also choose to have a large sunpad placed aft (as seen in the above photo) or in its place have a L-shaped couch that leads to the salon. Even the lower deck salon can be transformed from an entertaining area to a stateroom with a double berth.
Seen below is the optional sunpad option in place of the couch:
The lower deck on the V50 has two staterooms each with their own private head. The master suite, placed aft of the lower galley and seating area, stretches the full beam of the yacht.
