The 2026 Motor Boat Awards have announced their finalists during Boot Dusseldorf and Princess Yachts has once again won big. The all-new Princess F58 won the 'Best Flybridge Over 55-Feet' award over other esteemed builders like Pershing Yachts and Pearl Yachts. "There's no question that Princess builds an exceptional yacht, the F-class is perfect for that yacht owner that wants to manage the boat themselves and enjoy the intelligent design in the socializing areas," said Jay Hendrix, Vice President of SI Yachts. "As one of the largest Princess dealers in North America and as one of the leading service centers in the Northeast, we get to see firsthand how well Princess builds each boat and the re-sale value our owners get when they're ready to move up. The F58 checks all of the boxes when it comes to buying a luxury yacht that can be easily run by a couple, with enough comfort on board to stay on for weeks at a time."
What Did The Judges Say About The F58?
"Princess has a knack for building exceptionally good flybridge boats and the F58 puts all that knowledge and experience to good use. Bigger, better, more luxurious and more refined than the previous F55, it does everything you’d expect of a 60ft family cruiser and whole lot more you wouldn’t."
"But it’s the space and comfort it offers combined with Princess’s legendary build quality and attention to detail that really impressed our judges. Those extra couple of feet over the F55 create enough room for a separate dedicated dining area on the main deck in addition to the lounging area forward."
What Do The Boating Experts Say About The F58?
"Two distinguishing features not immediately apparent in the F58’s styling make a big impact on the lifestyle the F58 offers on the water. The first occurs below the waterline, where a larger engine package of twin MAN V-8 1,000 hp or 1,200 hp diesels (depending on the option selected) propel the 59-foot-8-inch beauty to a maximum speed of 31 and 34 knots, respectively. Second, the F58 is the first sub-80-foot model from Princess to offer sustainable battery-powered silent running or hotel services as an option." - Rebecca Taranto, Yachting Magazine
"You can feel that extra volume and sophistication the minute you step onto the F58. That starts with what Princess rather optimistically describes as a beach club area. You won’t find any folding balconies, transformer platforms, convertible garages bars or sea-level sunpads here but what you will get (if you tick the right options boxes) are a big hydraulic platform large enough to take a Williams 345, a drop-down bench, a transom wet bar with a BBQ and sink, and a very cool little locker with a slide-out rack and charging point for a Seabob." - Huge Andreae, Motorboat & Yachting Magazine
"In terms of outright performance, it’s strong. This is a fast cruising boat, built to cover distance quickly. Flat out, the F58 is hitting 35 knots. Range sits around 250nm at the 25-knot cruising speed, and once the boat is up on the plane, there’s barely any penalty in fuel consumption. At 15 knots, it’s using about the same as it does at 25, so there’s real flexibility in choosing how you want to cruise. Sure, if you drop it down to 11 knots, you’ll probably get around 600nm, but that’s not really what it’s about. Push it up to 25 knots, and it feels comfortably in its element." - Jack Haines, YachtBuyer
Description & Specifications Of The Princess F58
The all-new Princess F58 is the latest addition to Princess’s F-Class flybridge range, developed as the successor to the F55 with a refreshed look and a new interior arrangement designed to deliver more space, light and flexibility for family cruising and entertaining. Inside, the main deck is built around a bright saloon with panoramic windows and a more open, social layout, including a reimagined galley-and-dinette configuration that improves flow and creates a more dedicated dining zone.
