Viking 38 Billfish Debut At Miami Yacht Show

The legendary sportfish builder will debut the new 38 Billfish to the public at this year's Miami Yacht Show. The predecessor to the 37 Billfish has a slightly re-vamped hull shape for improved efficiency and has a 109-square foot cockpit, compared to the 37's 86-square foot cockpit. Viking's VIP Event was just held on February 1st and 2nd where the 38 was sea trialed by an invitation-only audience. SI Yachts VP Jay Hendrix was on the boat and had this to say, "Amazing boat. Unbelievable size for a 38-footer. It feels big but maneuvers like a little sports car. Such a fun boat and perfect for the center-console owner who wants to move up to a fishing boat with a cabin.

Speaking of center-consoles, Viking also just announced a new model line called Valhalla Boatworks that will definitely be talked about during the show.

In addition to the 38 Billfish, Viking will have the following new models on display at the show:

Prestige Yachts at the Miami Yacht Show

The Prestige 590 Flybridge made its debut at the last major boat show in Fort Lauderdale and will once again be featured along with her other new sibling, the 520S. (Read about all the ways you can have fun on the new 590 Fly.) The 590 features Ship Control, an on-board command and control system that puts all of the boat's functions and system monitoring right on an app and at your fingertips. With a generously sized flybridge and multiple sunbathing and relaxation zones, the Prestige 590 is a boat that will maximize your day on the water. With comfortable accommodations and really big windows that let in a lot of natural light, she is also a boat that will allow you to cruise without exhaustion.

Prestige will also be demonstrating Raymarine's new Docksense technology on a 460 Flybridge during the show. Docksense is a docking solution that uses FLIR machine vision camera technology to acknowledge hazards like pilings or other boats when docking.

The Prestige Yachts display at the show will be at Pier C.

Here is a list of all of the new models Prestige will have at the Miami Yacht Show:

Absolute Yachts at the Miami Yacht Show

Absolute Navetta 48 Miami Yacht Show

The highlights of the Absolute Yachts display will undoubtedly be the new Navetta 48 and the U.S. premiere of the 62 Flybridge. Located at South Ramp C, Slip 34 at the new One Herald Plaza location, Absolute will have an impressive line-up for the boat show of flybridge and cruising yachts in their traditional Italian, elegant style. The new Navetta 48 is a shining example of Absolute's new design focus of "space and light". As discussed in a recent post about the Navetta 48, SI Yachts Owner Frank Bongiorno recently went on a sea trial and had this to say, "This is a huge 48-foot boat. Very spacious, lots of room, and priced extremely competitively."

The 62 Flybridge will be coming to Staten Island Marina in early Summer 2019, but the Miami Yacht Show will be a great opportunity to climb on board and take a look. First glance of the new yacht and the amount of windows are very noticeable, resulting in an amazing salon area with stellar views. If you're considering a 60-foot plus flybridge yacht, the 62 Fly from Absolute should be at the to of your shopping list.

Here are the new Absolute models that will be at the Miami Yacht Show:

Princess Yachts at the Miami Yacht Show

Princess V60 Miami Yacht Show

While Princess Yachts will have a stellar line-up of models at this year's Miami Yacht Show, several big-time new yachts will be making their debut a month later at the Palm Beach International Boat Show. The Princess Y85, V78, and V50 will all make their U.S. debut at the Palm Beach Show, but that doesn't mean there won't be any excitement in Miami. The new V60 will be displayed for the first time in America and boasts the same deep-v hull style as all of the popular V-series models. The salon sunroof is an excellent addition to the boat and really opens up the interior.

The new R-35 will also be on display. This amazing day boat comes in a variety of colors, goes over 50 knots, is made of carbon fiber, and has all the makings of a perfect luxury yacht tender.

The Princess display will be located in the water, South Ramp C Slip 20.

HCB Yachts at the Miami Yacht Show

HCB had a busy 2018 with the success of the 53 Suenos and the launch of the 65 Estrella, the world's largest center-console luxury yacht. HCB will have all four models at the upcoming Miami Yacht Show with factory representatives on-hand to talk about everything that makes these yachts unique. From the obscene amount of horsepower to the full-sized cabins unheard of before in center-consoles, HCB has earned their distinction as a yacht and as an exclusive ownership brand.
