The Montauk Canyon Challenge is back for 2024! If you register for the Northeast's most popular and fastest-growing fishing tournament before May 1st, 2024, you can take advantage of special savings off of the entry fee.
To create the most fun and enjoyable tournament possible, the times to fish are a lot more flexible than most tournaments which allows our participating anglers the freedom to choose the best weather days and what works for their schedules. Anglers have a 9-day weather window to fish!

DATES TO FISH: July 12, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. and ends Saturday - July 20, 2024 at 3:00 p.m.
DAY TRIP FISHING TIMES: Boats may choose to fish two 19 hour fishing trips. Before casting off lines, boats must text the director the following information: "Same As Above". Do not depart until you receive text "Tight Lines". Returning boats must clear the inlet markers within the tournament hours 38 or 19.
OVERNIGHT FISHING TIMES: Boats may choose to fish one 38 hour overnight fishing trip. Before casting off lines, boats must text the director the following information: Rich Lucas at (516) 851-3078 or Chris Squeri at (516) 523-3444.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
The 2024 Montauk Canyon Challenge will kick off on Friday, July 12th with a Captain's Meeting at the Montauk Yacht Club. The official open fishing window begins at 7pm.
Weigh-in stations are open beginning Saturday, July 13th from 8am to 9pm. The final fishing window ends on Saturday, July 20th at 3pm which is followed by our Awards Dinner and party.

The Montauk Canyon Challenge started in 2011. A Captain's Choice Tournament created by Sport Fishing Captains & Crew to restore Montauk as the Northeast Premier Offshore Fishing Destination. Our mission is to foster camaraderie and sportsmanship at the dock that will reach 100 miles offshore. Over the last 6 years, the tournament has grown to over 60 boats and record prize money! We continue to improve the MCC every year from great Captains buckets to shirts to an awesome awards dinner on the great lawn at the Montauk Yacht Club. Tight Lines!

As a national nonprofit organization, the mission of the Coast Guard Foundation is to enhance the lives of the men and women of the Coast Guard and their families. The Coast Guard Foundation provides education, support and relief for the brave men and women who enforce maritime law, protect our homeland and preserve the environment.
