Introducing The New Valhalla V-55 Sport

Viking dealer meetings have proven to never be a dull moment and this one at the Atlantic City Golden Nugget is no exception. With all of the Viking team in attendance, a new range of Valhalla Boatworks was announced with a slightly different twist. In short, Viking is back in the luxury cruising game with the all-new Valhalla V-55 Sport!

"The Valhalla center-console line has been extremely popular and successful within the fishing community," said Rich Lucas, Viking Brand Manager for SI Yachts. "The new Sport Series will open the brand up to cruising enthusiasts that admire the style and quality that Viking brings, but who are not as serious when it comes to fishing as your normal owner. The V-55 Sport truly emphasizes comfort, performance, and accommodations for those that love to cruise and enjoy the boating lifestyle."

Viking also announced that the V-55 Sport won't be the only model in the range for long, as the company plans to launch a V-46 Sport and V-41 Sport. The new V-55 Sport will debut sometime in early 2025. For more information, please reach out to our Viking and Valhalla team at Sales@SIYachts.com or by calling our main office at (718) 984-7676.

“The V-55 Sport represents our ability to diversify within a model to meet the needs of more owners,” says Viking President and CEO Pat Healey. “It takes the proven performance of our 55 hull and merges it with an exciting, contemporary design that the cruising crowd will love.” SI Yachts is no stranger to cruising boats as we have offered top luxury brands like Princess Yachts and others. Since 1964, our team has dedicated themselves to providing the expertise needed to assist customers into the right cruising boat for their needs. "The V-55 Sport gives us a unique offering to cruisers," said Jay Hendrix, Vice President of SI Yachts. "Many cruising boat enthusiasts will appreciate the outboard power as it provides speed, easier maintenance, and many other advantages to the ownership experience."

Powered by four Mercury 600-hp outboards, the V-55 SP runs on the same Michael Peters Yacht Design Stepped-V Ventilated Tunnel (SVVT) running surface, delivering a fast, stable and efficient ride.

As with many cruising boats, the fold-down side terraces (seen below) have become a popular feature that owners appreciate as it extends the living area on board while at anchor. “The balconies consist of the entire aft sections of the hull sides, completely opening up the cockpit,” says Viking Design Manager David Wilson. “Each platform is 25 square feet, giving you more deck space and easy water access.” Each side terrace is also equipped with a boarding ladder, making it easy to swim, enjoy the ocean, and then be able to easily get back on board.

The cockpit on the new V-55 Sport (seen below) is specifically designed for the cruising owner that desires maximum relaxation and outdoor entertaining. There are two large bench seats and a pedastal table for outdoor dining, as well as an L-shaped summer kitchen for serving your favorite guests.

For accommodations on the new Valhalla V-55 Sport, does not fall short. Port-side companionway stairs lead to the feature-packed galley to starboard and comfortable dinette to port (with L-shaped seating that’s convertible to a berth). Sleeping options on the lower deck include two private staterooms with walk-around queen berths. The forward master cabin is appointed with an ensuite head and a separate shower. A day head, also with separate shower, is just forward of the amidship guest stateroom. An abundance of natural light enters through cabin and hull-side windows. Whether entertaining friends with an overnight cruise or heading up the coastline for the summer, the V-55 Sport has your comfort in mind.

Since Viking is no stranger to a comfortable ride, the V-55 Sport is engineered for a Seakeeper Gyro. There is a 150 gallon water capacity and 50 gallon waste tank. The quad Mercury 600HP engines will also have 1,100 gallons of fuel to work with for extended trips.
