Today's yacht buyer in the luxury cruising categories is demanding and desires versatility. Their boat must be all things at all times - a comfortable home on the water overnight or for weeks at a time, a day boat for entertaining friends, a corporate meeting retreat, and even an efficient long-distance cruiser. When one becomes a "boater", it is a life-changing decision to which all other free-time activities revolve. This is why the Absolute Yachts shipyard continue to design their models to be multifaceted and adaptable to the ever-changing needs of its owners.
The new flagship model, the Absolute Navetta 75, is appropriately named 'The Sphere' as it perfectly shapes itself to your wants and needs in a seamless experience. Absolute calls it "The Ultimate Balance Of Excellence" as it incorporates all of the latest innovations, technologies, and trends integrated into the Italian builder's newest models. A "one-of-a-kind travelling experience" they continue. The Navetta 75 will make its North American debut at the 2022 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, but yacht enthusiasts across the pond have already seen it as it was featured at the Cannes Yachting Festival and received resoundingly positive comments. It was so well-received in fact, that it won the "Best Interior Design" award at the World Yacht Trophies.
While the hull itself is shared with its predecessor, the Navetta 73, there are many new, innovative characteristics on board the Navetta 75 that make it a vastly different boat than the builder's previous flagship. One such area is the aft cockpit which is equipped with modular furniture so that the owner and guests can arrange their own seating area to fit their needs. Other unique features on the cockpit include:
- No fixed structural elements so your view is unimpeded.
- A rear glass parapet so instead of looking back and seeing a fiberglass wall, you're treated to a view of the swim platform and ocean.
- Flybridge overhang that provides shade to the cockpit.
- Port and starboard steps down to hydraulic swim platform.
- Open gunwales for extended views of the ocean.
Whether enjoying cocktails over a conversation or dining al fresco, the aft cockpit on the Navetta 75 is a versatile and comfortable socializing area that you won't want to leave.
Moving up to the flybridge deck from the portside staircase, it's important to note the amount of space on board to move around. Absolute has done an exceptional job with utilizing their custom-made furniture on the flybridge to have more room to move around. Whether you are entertaining business partners for the evening or plan on cruising the islands for weeks at a time, the flybridge on the Navetta 75 is the obvious choice to congregate and socialize. Here are some of its important characteristics:
- Aft terrace is furnished with movable furniture.
- Transparent parapets line the aft terrace for exceptional views.
- The factory hardtop has a sunroof option along with overhead LED lighting.
- A single section mid-deck that features an outdoor galley, dining area, and storage.
- The flybridge helm station is designed with extra seating and complete controls, navigational equipment.
- A second staircase to the main deck is found forward portside on the flybridge.
While the outdoor areas are the most exciting and fun, it's hard to ignore the immersive experience that the main deck interior provides. Large, wide windows stretch the length of the main deck interior allowing everyone inside to have a great view no matter where they sit. The natural light gained from such windows is important to note, particularly if the owner is going to be spending a considerable amount of time on board. The Absolute team calls is the "wow effect" that is evoked by the harmonious blend of space, light, fine woods, leather, fabric wall coverings, and other luxurious appointments.
The formal dining area below is separated from the galley by an electrically-controlled partition for the ultimate private dining experience. Your guests will enjoy the large picture-sized window adjacent to the dining table.
The galley (seen below) has everything a chef would desire to prepare a full course meal. The galley can be both a private work-area for entertaining or a part of the conversation happening in the dining area. A side door conveniently leads out to the covered side decks. All appliances are the very best in quality, the countertops are your choice of stone, and there is ample storage for multi-night trips.
Below deck, there are 4 luxurious and spacious cabins for the owner and guests, along with an intelligently-designed crew quarters aft. Farthest forward in the bow is a full-beam owner's suite that offers the utmost privacy and comfort. There is an en suite bathroom and a private staircase to the main salon. The master suite is also positioned on a raised deck which enhances the ocean views from the over-sized windows. Portholes found on both sides of the hull allow for maximum cross-ventilation through the main cabin.
Farthest aft on the lower deck is the VIP suite which also stretches the full beam of the yacht. It features many of the same amenities as the master suite and is the perfect accommodations for your most important guests. Upon entering the VIP cabin, they may mistake it for the master stateroom. A portside guest cabin features a double berth and an en suite head, while the fourth guest cabin has bunks and shares the day head. The crew cabin is aft of the engine room and consists of two berths, a head, shower, and private galley.
