Steve Messenger

Steve enjoys helping people that share his passion for the sea, to pursue their life’s dream of owning a yacht.

Steve grew up along the Manasquan River on the New Jersey shore. His first paying jobs were as a boatyard hand, and a mate on charter fishing boats. Steve raced on the varsity sailing team in college and earned a captains license at 20 years old. He has delivered boats from Massachusetts to Florida, the Bahamas, and U.S. Virgin Islands and participated in many offshore fishing tournaments for tuna and blue and white marlin.

With a 30-year career in yacht sales and as a boat owner himself, Steve’s marine experience covers all facets of the boating lifestyle. He has sold, delivered and serviced boats up to 130 feet, with individual deals up to $5.5 million. Steve believes yacht sales is a relationship and customer service-driven business. After a deal closes, Steve continues to provide top flight service and support to his clients to ensure they are happy with their purchase and enjoying their boat.

Steve lives in New York City and works in the Staten Island office. He likes to take his Blackfin around Manhattan and fish & surf the New York and New Jersey coastlines. Steve has two adult children, Brittany and Ryan.

He and his wife Michelle have a daughter Davis, and their rescued poodle mix, Jack.
