The Vanquish VQ55 Sports Line is a 54-foot high-performance motorboat that was launched by the award-winning Dutch yacht-building firm Vanquish Yachts in 2022. Establishing new industry standards for speed, style and modernity, this yacht features a proprietary composite hull with an ultra-fine entry and a striking, futuristic design from naval stylist Guido de Groot. Combining the ease of use, agility and adaptability of a high-end day-boat with the features and build of a super-yacht, the VQ55 Sports Line looks set to be one of the most popular ever Vanquish launches to date.
There is ample space for up to 18 guests across the teak-lined main-deck, with seating available in a range of color schemes and upholstery finishes to match your bespoke livery. A compact foredeck lounge is ideal for intimate conversations over aperitivos, and features a twin loveseat and a U-shaped bow sofa either side of a trapezoidal cocktail table with cup-holders. It’s all about sun worship at the other end of the yacht, where you will discover a three-seater sunpad with headrests and unimpeded sunshine. There is a lightweight, transparent hard-top floating across the center of the boat, and a partially shaded aft-cockpit impresses with an L-shaped transom sofa, a twin sofa and a large, timber-lined dining table perfect for long evening meals. A bulky wet-bar station geared up for barbecues and cocktails features a grill, an ice-chipper, a sink, Corian work surfaces and chilled storage, while four helm seats face a port-side helm station with a Raymarine touchscreen, joystick handling and the latest in navigational equipment. Very much a vessel that can be used for at-sea entertaining, the VQ55 also includes home entertainment controls at the helm linked to a series of stereo speakers located across the deck.
Across the front half of the hull there is a spacious air-conditioned lower-deck living space complete with a galley boasting a single-zone hob, a sink and refrigeration, as well as a main head with an enclosed shower cubicle and solid surfaces in your choice of finish. Amidship you will find a twin room with a bedside cabinet and a locker, while nestled up by the bow there is a double cabin with hidden storage and a show-piece skylight.
Buyers can choose between an inboard propulsion system with waterjets or a classic outboard motor system to fire this yacht to thrilling top speeds. The inboard engines allow extra room at the stern for a full-beam, teak-lined bathing platform, and the twin Nanni N16 1200hp motors allow for top speeds well in excess of 50 knots. A set of five Quint Mercury 600hp V12 outboard engines, however, allow for record-breaking propulsion that easily crosses the 70-knot mark, making this boat faster than many racing vessels. Though you will lose a little space to stern there is still room for dive platforms either side of the outboards with a starboard swim ladder.
