The Vanquish VQ70 is a 72-foot luxury motor yacht that was launched by the iconic Dutch yacht-building firm Vanquish Yachts in 2022. Featuring an aluminum hull designed by naval stylist Guido de Groot with an axe-bow, high bulwarks and a shimmering metallic livery, this yacht has the look of a fighter jet from profile. Jet-like speeds are also on the menu here, with a set of powerful engines making this one of the fastest vessels in its class on the market today. The futuristic looks continue across two decks of exquisite, contemporary living spaces lined in deluxe materials, ideal for sophisticated lounging.
Up to 20 people will enjoy socializing across the main deck of this undeniably modern vessel, with stylish seating from tip to toe clad in your choice of bespoke upholstery or waterproof leather. Up front there is a V-shaped sofa located by the bow surrounding a cocktail table and sitting across from a sofa with high backrests. This connects to a triple-width sunpad, from where you can work on your tan in unimpeded sunshine. Head to stern and you will encounter another sunpad, this time connecting to a transom sofa with cup-holders and a trapezoidal fiberglass table. Back here you also will find a full-beam, teak-lined bathing platform with hydraulic function that provides access to a huge transom garage capable of hosting a Williams jet-tender. Another garage sits amidship with an opening to starboard and can store a dinghy, a pair of Seabobs and snorkeling or watersports equipment.
Moving into the teak-lined cockpit, which can come with a transparent hard-top with a sunroof or as a fully al-fresco living space, there is space for an L-shaped sofa with a dining table and room for a starboard wet-bar with a grill, a sink, chilled storage and solid work surfaces. Up front there is exquisite visibility from the port-side helm station, where two bespoke piloting seats face a modern, sculptural dashboard with a Raymarine multi-function touchscreen, joystick handling and all the latest in navigational tech.
A true family cruiser, the VQ70 boasts spacious lower-deck rooms with knife-insert windows, solid timber surrounds and a modern feel throughout. There are two double cabins with queen-sized beds, en-suite facilities, enclosed showers and masses of storage space down here, along with an open mini-galley from where you can cook delicious meals. Also featured on the lower deck is a private crew cabin for two members of staff with its own head facilities.
Standard engines come in the form of triple Volvo Penta IPS1350 diesels with top speeds breaching the 43-knot mark. If you require a bit more power, then there is an optional upgrade available to a pair of MAN 2000hp V12 engines with waterjets which will increase your full-throttle speeds to approximately 50 knots. A fuel capacity of 158 gallons of diesel will keep you out on the water for days on end before needing to dock, while the yacht’s proprietary hull design emphasizes cost-effective efficiency.
