The Tiara EX60 is a 60-foot express cruiser that was launched by premium Michigan-based boat-building firm Tiara Yachts. Part of the brand’s Adventure Series of watercraft, the EX60 is the largest and most lavish vessel the company has ever built, and impresses with a slew of exciting new features added to Tiara’s own fiberglass planing hull. Super sleek lines and wrap-around glazing combine with innovative and adaptable deck-space, including three tiers of outdoor lounging to aft, this is a vessel that’s just as comfortable voyaging at sea as it is on day-tripping on the Great Lakes.
A vast multi-level cockpit impresses with a teak-effect sole and a shaded upper space comprising a pair of side loveseats and a transom sofa. Take a step down to find a convivial lower aft-lounge with two sofas in sophisticated off-white Ultraleather that surround a Hi-Lo table that can be used for coffee, drinks and meal service, and note the actuated bulwarks that flip down to transform into a pair of floating cocktail terraces. Keep going towards stern to uncover a full-beam hydraulic bathing platform and a water-level sofa with a beach-club feel. There’s plenty of opportunity to customize back here, too, by exchanging a sofa for an outdoor wet-bar with a Kenyon grill, masses of refrigeration and a timber-lined pop-up serving bar, or switch to activity mode by installing a tender garage and sports locker to stern. Out on the foredeck there is a modular daybed for up to three sun-worshippers, as well as pulpit-style platforms from which to catch a line and reams of hidden in-sole storage.
Sliding glass doors, flip-up window panes, an automated sunroof and panoramic side glazing with cinema-screen dimensions keep the main-deck salon feeling breezy. In here you can expect Mary Flores furnishings, more synthetic teak, sumptuous leather-effect sofas, steel accents, a dining table and an open galley with solid white worktops, a Samsung oven, a two-zone stovetop, a stainless-steel sink and under-counter refrigeration, along with a drop-down HDTV. Two cushioned bench seats face the starboard helm and port-side companion devices, and the modern dash up here features a trio of oversized Garmin screens, Seakeeper 9 gyrostabilizer buttons, Volvo Interceptor trim-tab switches, Penta joystick handling, a leather-embossed steering wheel, hand-held VHF radio and a mounted compass.
This yacht is the perfect option for weekend getaways thanks to its capacious three-stateroom, two-head lower-deck layout, with cabins down here benefitting from generous hull glazing, skylights and rich timber surrounds. There is a VIP double and a starboard twin that both come with full-height lockers and a shared bathroom with a shower cubicle, while a full-beam amidship master features a large island bed, a side sofa, cabinet space and a dedicated en-suite lined in hardwood and marble.
The Tiara EX60 is powered by twin 1000HP Volvo Penta D13 pod-drive diesel engines that can hit 40 knots in ideal conditions. Hold steady at a 25-knot cruising pace for a range of 304 nautical miles, or dial right down to 8.6 knots to expand this range to a mammoth 1,634 nautical miles before exhausting your 700-gallon fuel tank.
