The Tiara 48 LE is a 48-foot express cruiser that was launched by the renowned Michigan-based boat-building firm Tiara Yachts in 2023. The new flagship of the brand, this deluxe vessel combines stylish and expansive living spaces with a powerful set of outboard motors and a rugged B-class hull for the ultimate cruising experience. Svelte and streamlined, the 48 LE cuts a fine and dashing form as it zips across the water, with an aerodynamic superstructure, clean lines and a traditional navy livery presenting a timeless look and feel.
Broad side-decks lead all the way to the foredeck where, surrounded by high steel guardrails, you may find yourself relaxing on a double-width sunpad in plush marine-grade upholstery with flip-up backrests and integrated cup-holders. Yet what truly stands out aboard this exquisite watercraft is the teak-lined aft-cockpit, partially sheltered by an extending sunshade, with a bevy of innovative features. A fold-out bulwark to port flips down to expand the living space back here, while a starboard dive-door opens up for easy boarding. A bespoke varnished timber dining table sits between a transom sofa and a pair of stern-facing twin sofas, with the transom seating unit able to spin around 360-degrees to face the water. Built into this unit is an optional wet-bar with an outdoor grill, an ice-chipper, a sink and chilled storage for prime burgers and crisp refreshments close to hand, or a second stern-facing sofa. A single step down leads to a pair of bathing platforms either side of the outboards, with options like swim ladders and in-sole sports lockers enhancing your water-based activities.
Wrap-around glazing, sliding doors to aft and an opening sunroof above the helm keep the main-deck salon atmospheric and elemental. Expect varnished hardwood surrounds, refined leather furnishings, steel fixtures, brushed fiberglass surfaces and dynamic strip lighting in here. To port there is a U-shaped dining sofa with a lacquered timber dining table and an adjustable backrest to turn the front portion of this sofa into a companion seat next to the helm. To starboard there is an open galley with solid white countertops and all of the cooking appliances needed for extended trips out to sea, while up front a twin seat faces a modern helm station with a non-glare dashboard lined in a wood-grain fascia, bolsters and footrests. An oversized Garmin Marine touch-screen with bundled instrumentation is joined by a power-assisted steering wheel, a mounted compass, joystick handling, digital throttles and hand-held VHF radio.
A pair of double staterooms down on the lower-deck offer secluded sleeping space for up to four overnight guests, with each cabin down here featuring dedicated en-suite bathrooms with enclosed shower stalls, timber surrounds and ceramic bowl sinks. A spacious room to the bow boasts a skylight and a full-height locker, while a double stateroom amidship features a complementary side-sofa and trapezoidal hull glazing.
Powered by triple 600HP Mercury Verado V12 outboard engines for a visceral piloting experience, you can expect top speeds of up to 49 knots at full-throttle. At a pulsating cruising speed of around 36 knots you will be able to ride this sporty yacht for up to 326 nautical miles, while this range expands to 471 nautical miles at a 7 knot economy cruise thanks to a 660 gallon fuel tank.
