The Tiara Sovran 3600 is a 36.4-foot cruiser first introduced by Michigan-based shipyard Tiara Yachts in 2004. With an impeccable white gelcoat, classic American lines and a tapered, sporty profile, this yacht remains an exceptional choice for cruising enthusiasts hooked on long weekends and extended trips. Guests can step aboard via the optional swim platform, perfect for diving and swimming and capable of accommodating a small tender. A transom shower allows owners and guests to wash the salt out of their hair after a swim. A stowage compartment is ideal for keeping kit for various water activities.
Up on the cockpit, aft facing seating with a folding table allows waterfront al fresco meals. Out on the foredeck, a sunpad cushion surrounded by a stainless-steel rail and drink holder offers inimitable lounge space. One step up, you’ll find the helm and salon area, covered by the hardtop and surrounded by stunning glass windows.
Standard 385hp Crusader gas engines offer cruising speeds of 22-23 knots, with max speeds of nearly 30 knots. V-drives mean the engines are placed farther aft, making room for more expansive – and quieter – lower-deck living. The helm commands excellent visibility from large windshield and is equipped with a Raymarine electronics system and display, throttles, an optional wood steering wheel, and a single adjustable helm seat. A starboard wet bar with a NovaKool refrigerator ensures guests can enjoy a cocktail or refreshment as they sit and chat on the L-shaped seating to port. An under-seat cooler and large open storage area offer further possibilities for feeding and watering guests.
Below deck, Tiara’s creative, space-maximizing layout is sure to impress. A companionway near the helm leads to a spacious lounge with a starboard galley and roomy dinette. The L-shaped galley features a two-burner cooktop, Isotherm fridge-freezer, microwave, stainless-steel sink, and storage throughout. To port, lounge seating is thoughtfully positioned beneath an opening porthole, with a built-in television located overhead. This settee converts into two bunks for last-minute guests. A starboard day head provides all the comforts of home, with a toilet, countertop with built-in sink, a large wall-mounted mirror, opening porthole, and a shower.
The forward owner’s suite is a substantial space with a folding entry door for privacy. Next to the door, a window with a sliding panel allows owners to open the room up to the lounge area when desired. Inside, a queen-sized pedestal bed sits beneath a stunning skylight. Hullside windows invite more natural light to this space, ensuring it always feels airy and light. Storage is located beneath the bed.
The 3600 Sovran is powered by dual 385hp Crusader gas engines with options of 450hp or 480hp Cummins diesel engines. With Cummins 450hp engines, owner-operators can reach top speeds of nearly 30 knots, with a cruising speed of 27.9 knots.
