The Sunseeker 90 Ocean is an 88-foot luxury motor yacht that was launched by the UK-based yacht building firm in 2021. Set to be one of their most popular builds ever with a dozen models sold prior to launch, this yacht is built around maximizing outdoor leisure space across a flybridge that is 25% bigger than those on rival yachts, a triple-length, split-level aft beach club and an expansive foredeck area. Boasting Sunseeker’s signature aggressively styled, sporty profile, dramatic side glazing and luxury interiors, the Sunseeker 90 Ocean also has the feel of a much larger vessel thanks to a 23-foot beam.
Covering most of the teak-lined open flybridge is a fiberglass hard-top with a retractable electric sunroof covering a marble-clad walk-in wet-bar with a grill, cocktail-making facilities and three stools, as well as a starboard side U-shaped dining sofa with a table, a cocoon-style sunpad and a loveseat. To the rear of the flybridge are a pair of modular sunpads either side of a jacuzzi spa-pool from where you can enjoy views out across the stern. At the front of bridge there is an open-air set of helm controls for those who prefer al-fresco piloting and that intimate connection to the elements.
One level down and the main attraction is one of the biggest aft-beach club settings you will ever find on a yacht of this size. A sheltered aft-deck features a pair of L-shaped sofas or room for a dining table, while side steps either side of a tinted glass transom wall lead down to a double-length swimming platform with a Bezenzoni swim ladder and a pop-up barbecue grill. Part of this teak-lined platform can be detached and used as a hydraulic tender lift, while there is also access to a tender garage down here, whose sloping door can be used as a backrest for a trio of drop-down X-Tend sun-loungers. Out on the foredeck there is a Portuguese Bridge-style sofa across from a drinks bar with cup-holders, a pair of curved side sofas with triangular cocktail tables and a double-length sunpad with marina-facing views for up to three sunbathers.
Stepping inside through four-pane sliding glass doors into the salon you will find a sedate and modern space that benefits from not only panoramic side windows but glazed bulwarks for plenty of natural light and views out across the water’s rippling surface. Dark teak floors play host to an L-shaped sofa, hand-finished armchairs, custom coffee tables, show-stopping ottomans and an eight-seater formal dining table, while an amidship galley sits enclosed for private food preparation. The galley boasts black marble work surfaces, a four-zone hob, a convection oven, a microwave, a full-height American-style fridge-freezer, a stainless-steel sink and a water-tight door to the side deck. At the front of the main deck there is a forward snug lounge and a main deck wheelhouse that has been equipped with thruster and trim tab controls, two widescreen display panels, power-assisted steering, a pair of leather-clad, adjustable helm seats and a glazed, retractable sunroof.
One the lower level there is sleeping space for up to eight overnight guests across an en-suite twin, an en-suite double, a VIP en-suite master stateroom by the bow and a full-beam, en-suite owner’s stateroom positioned amidship. This owner’s room features a curved sofa, a work-desk or vanity station, a king-sized island bed and a marble-lined bathroom with a pair of sinks and a walk-in waterfall shower. At the rear of this level, you will also find a privately accessed crew quarters with four bunk beds, a bathroom and a mini-galley with a dinette lounge.
While the Sunseeker 90 Ocean is a yacht that is built around fun, it is also a serious piece of naval engineering. Top speeds of around 26 knots are provided by a pair of 3,800MHP MAN diesel engines, while at lower speeds of 12 knots you can expect a seafaring range of 1,800 nautical miles.
