The Sunseeker Predator 58 is a 58-foot sportscruiser yacht that was produced by British yacht building company Sunseeker between 1997 and 2002. This stylish yacht with a vintage 90s look was a best-seller back in the day and remains hugely popular on the used and charter markets thanks to its super-sharp profile, superb handling and deceptively large living spaces decked out in a restrained nautical theme. The sales professionals from SI Yachts can help you navigate the brokerage market and all of the Sunseeker Yachts for sale that are available.
There is plenty of room to work on your tan out on the Predator 58’s main deck, with a twin sunpad lined in leather with blue piping situated out on the elongated foredeck. For those who wish to stay closer to the action then there is also an elevated, oval shaped sunpad dominating the aft deck of this yacht, from where up to three guests can relax in sheer comfort. Side steps lead down to a bathing platform at the stern, where you will also discover a large door giving access to the spacious tender garage capable of hosting modern water toys and snorkeling gear. Inside the cockpit itself, open at the rear for a breezy feel, there is a starboard side U-shaped sofa in hand-stitched white leather surrounding a Hi-Lo fiberglass breakfast table, while to port there is a wet-bar console with an icemaker, a fridge and a grill. At the front of the cockpit and benefiting from a retractable sunroof built into the hard-top, there is seating for up to three, including a comfortable loveseat positioned at the helm. Though constructed two decades ago this ergonomic dashboard still impresses with Garmin electronics, FLIR radar, bow thruster and trim tab controls, hydraulic power steering and VHF radio, all intuitively placed to provide the best piloting experience.
The lower deck takes advantage of the Predator 58’s 15-foot beam to provide room for up to 6 overnight guests across a pair of amidship twin bedrooms and a master stateroom to the bow with a queen-sized bed, hanging closets, a skylight and an en-suite bathroom with black Corian counter-tops and a shower cubicle. Yet it is perhaps the lower salon that sets this yacht apart from its competitors, providing a living space lined in glossy cherry with plush carpeting, leather furnishings and plenty of curves. There is a serpentine, curved sofa surrounding an extending teak-lined dining table to starboard, across from a port-side galley with a two-zone Miele hob, a combination oven, granite work surfaces, under-counter Sub-Zero fridge freezer units, a stainless-steel sink and masses of storage space.
The Sunseeker Predator 58 is certainly no slouch and can more than keep up with the latest sportscruisers thanks to top speeds of around 35 knots, with cruising speeds of 24 knots. Engine options include a pair of MAN D2842 800MHP inboards, or twin 760MHP Detroit diesel engines, that ensure that this yacht’s deep-V hull with prop pockets glides across the waves as easily as a skipping stone.
