The Sunseeker Portofino 40 is a 42-foot performance cruiser yacht that was produced by British yacht building firm Sunseeker between 2012 to 2016. Combining the practicality and fun of an entry-level day boat with the sort of overnight accommodation you would expect from a much bigger sports cruiser, the Portofino 40 is the perfect yacht for summer weekends spent island hopping in the Med. A slick exterior with masses of glazing, plenty of outdoor space with a deep connection to the elements, and interiors dripping with contemporary style made this yacht an instant classic.
Enjoying the sun sits at the heart of the Portofino 40’s appeal, and a three-seater sunpad out on the foredeck will be popular with those who like to sunbathe in comfort for hours on end. At the stern of the yacht, meanwhile, you will find a hydraulic, teak-lined swimming platform capable of holding a Williams jet tender, from where you can set off on your swimming or watersport adventures. Directly above the platform sits a rear sunpad with headrests, connected to a hook-shaped transom dining sofa with an extending breakfast table. On the port-side of the aft-cockpit you will find a wet-bar console with an electric griddle, an icemaker and a drinks cabinet, from where you can grill your afternoon catch and rustle up your favorite cocktails. A glazed, water-tight companionway door leads down to the lower-deck, where you can choose from a range of Ken Freivokh interiors utilizing authentic materials such as dark wengewood, glossy cherry, veneered Anigre, stainless steel trim and plush upholstery. There is an open galley down here with Avonite work surfaces, a two-zone ceramic hob, a microwave oven and capacious fridge-freezer units, as well as a U-shaped dinette sofa with an extending table.
