The Sunseeker Ocean 156 is an 82-foot luxury flybridge yacht that is set to be released by the iconic British yacht-building firm Sunseeker in 2024. Named for its overall gross tonnage, this vessel delivers masses of deluxe living space across a trio of decks, while a dizzying vertical form with lavish use of tinted glass promotes stunning 360-degree views. Sunseeker yachts are known for their sleek modern looks and this yacht is no different, boasting sheer lines, structural glazing, dramatic aerodynamic flares and sculptural curves for an assertive, almost futuristic look. Primed for at-sea exploration, the Ocean 156 features a rugged and efficient hull combined with a set of powerful engines for a masterful voyaging experience.
Teak decking, bronzed guardrails and a relaxed vibe predominate on the flybridge, where a Portuguese Bridge style foredeck welcomes guests with a U-shaped forward facing sofa in plush upholstery with a timber-lined coffee table. To aft there is a sun terrace with a glazed transom wall, a marble-topped wet-bar station with a grill and an ice-chipper, as well as a pair of U-shaped sofas, two bespoke coffee tables and a set of armchairs. The enclosed portion of the bridge benefits from sliding glass doors and swooping side glazing for superb views, and in here you will find two more sofas, a set of nesting coffee tables, further wet-bar facilities and the main-helm station. Ship-style dashboard controls including a pair of touch-screens, joystick handling, thruster controls and more are matched with a single leather-clad helm seat for comfortable piloting.
One level down the foredeck feels secluded thanks to the high bulwarks, while two L-shaped sofas with companion breakfast tables offer a sedate place to enjoy light meals and drinks. To aft there is a sheltered cockpit with a pair of transom sofas and an extending sunpad, as well as steps down to a full-beam, extended bathing platform with beach-club dimensions and a sports locker. Slide-open glass doors, floor-to-ceiling windows, sedate pale timber, extensive use of marble, fluted wall panels, a glass-framed staircase, steel fixtures and gold-effect highlights lend a sophisticated air to the main-deck salon, which can be configured in an array to styles to suit your requirements. Expect a tempered glass dining table for up to eight, sprawling lounge sofas in tasteful upholstery, a walk-in galley, service and head area amidship and even the option for an owner’s stateroom forward.
Down on the lower-deck there are sleeping quarters for up to eight overnight guests across four exquisite staterooms, each boasting their own dedicated en-suite facilities lined marble with stunning waterfall shower cubicles. A pair of double cabins and a twin room occupy the front portion of the hull, while a full-beam owner’s stateroom is located amidship. This palatial suite features a king-sized bed, a work-desk, an optional side sofa, a walk-in closet and a vast bathroom with two ceramic sinks. A separate crew quarters for two is located to aft and features its own private facilities.
Powered by a twin-set of 1000HP Volvo Penta IPS1350 pod-drives, you can expect top speeds of around 23 knots, while at economical cruising speeds you will enjoy a range of approximately 250 nautical miles thanks to a 2245 gallon fuel tank.
