The Riva 75 Venere Super is a 75-foot luxury motor yacht with a flybridge that was launched by the iconic, Ferretti-owned Italian boat-building brand Riva in 2011. Striking European curves, a shimmering Roman Bronze hull, elegant interiors and turbo-charged performance combined to make this sporty yacht an instant classic. Crafted in partnership with naval stylists Officina Italiana, this vessel won the award for “Best Production Motor Yacht” in its class at the 2012 Asian Boating Awards held in Hong Kong and remains a popular choice among discerning Riva customers to this day.
This yacht’s low-slung flybridge may not be the biggest but it does happen to be one of the most artfully designed. There is space to the rear for tender storage with a hydraulic davit, while sitting underneath a hard-top canopy across the middle of the bridge is a white, U-shaped leather sofa with an extending teak cocktail table that can also be used for dinner service. To starboard there is a wet-bar station with a sink, a Gaggenau grill and chilled storage, while up front there is curved forward seating, a fully equipped helm station and a full-beam sunpad for two.
Down on the foredeck there is yet more sunpad space with marina-facing views, while to the rear there is a teak-lined aft-deck with a transom dining sofa hugging a table that can host up to ten guests. Side steps lead down to a swimming platform and a transom garage capable of hosting a jet-ski.
A combination of bleached oak surfaces, sand-toned leather, white lacquer, silver accents and mirrored panels enhance the sense of light and space across the main deck salon, though with panoramic side glazing and curved sliding glass doors to the rear, it hardly needs the extra help. The feel in here is decidedly clean and minimal, with finely sculpted fixtures, artfully crafted cabinets and hand-made bespoke furnishings adding a subtle Italian flair. A port-side sofa faces a set of elegant cabinets and a home entertainment system, while a couple of steps up leads you to a formal dining table with space for eight guests to enjoy lavish meals. A semi-enclosed galley to port impresses with dark wood cabinets, Corian work surfaces, a Bosch multi-zone stovetop and oven as well as a full-height fridge-freezer and a door to the side deck. A forward pilothouse is not all about the serious business of navigation, as there is room in here for a curved sofa, a coffee table and steps down to the lower deck. The port-side helm station features the very best in hi-tech equipment, including thruster controls, a joystick, power-assisted steering, VHF radio, a trio of Raymarine displays screens, Quantum wireless radar and engine feedback.
Across the lower-deck there is room for up to eight overnight guests across four en-suite staterooms, with crew quarters for three accessed via a separate staircase. Plush carpeting underfoot, plenty of head clearance and over-sized hull mullions are to be found down here, with a pair of amidship twins and a VIP double to the bow taking up the front half of the boat. A full-beam owner’s stateroom to aft features a king-sized bed, a pair of armchairs with a tempered-glass occasional table, a work-desk, a walk-in dressing room, masses of cabinetry and a timber-lined bathroom with a ceramic sink and a waterfall shower with a non-slip teak floor.
Top speeds of around 33 knots come thanks to MTU 10V M94 1623MHP diesel engines, with cruising speeds of 29 knots allowing for a range of some 330 nautical miles.
