The Riva 66 Ribelle is a 66-foot open cruiser sport yacht launched by the legendary Italian brand at their historic Lake Iseo, Salernico shipyard in 2018. A joint collaboration between Officina Italiana Design and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, the 66 Ribelle has the sleek, aggressive lines of a sport boat while retaining the signature look of a classic Riva vessel. A mix of retro elegance and modern power, a sport yacht with a large displacement and traditional shaft propulsion, the Ribelle is truly the rebel of the Riva Yachts fleet.
Large, sweeping windows on the hull and blue sapphire superstructure punctuate the sumptuous mahogany and gleaming stainless-steel exterior elements, including a wraparound railing for safety and a touch of style.
The cockpit has a convivial feel, perfect for conversation over drinks and tapas or more formal meals around the extendable mahogany table, which serves a comfortable L-shaped sofa. A sliding glass door leads to the salon, which also features a tilting window – perfect for opening up the salon to the aft deck for an even greater sense of space and connection to the elements. The salon features opaque mahogany throughout, which contrasts beautifully with steel brightwork, white leather furnishings and blue lacquer accents. A J-shaped seating area greets you on entry, nestled around yet another mahogany coffee table long enough to serve as a further dining center.
The helm features a carbon steel board with large, modern Simrad displays and a further Böning integrated system that enables the operator to view different functions of the boat and engines. Outside, at the bow, there is a large sunbathing area with wraparound backs.
Three cabins are located on the lower deck. At the center of the hull is the owner’s suite, which gives any luxury penthouse a run for its money, with plenty of open space, a separate seating area by the bed, large bedside tables, and a floor-to-ceiling mirror with a large flatscreen TV directly opposite the bed. Stepping out of the owner’s cabin and to the left is a double twin guest cabin with an ensuite bathroom that also serves as the day head. The VIP suite is situated at the bow, with an ensuite bathroom. A galley is also located here, with contrasting white upper cabinets and countertops and matte mahogany cupboards below. A full-size fridge-freezer is a welcome surprise on a yacht of this size, with plenty of space for storing supplies, and a well-appointed sink near the window. A four-zone stovetop and oven are also featured here.
The 66 Ribelle is equipped with dual 1,550hp MAN diesel engines that reach a cruise speed of 31.5 knots and a top speed of over 36 knots. Given its speed and power, it is no surprise to learn that Pierro Ferrari of sports car fame was also involved with Ferretti and Officina Italiana in the creation of this elegant, punchy yacht.
