The Riva 50 Metri is a 164-foot luxury superyacht that was launched by the iconic Italian boat-building company Riva in 2022. With a steel and aluminum frame, a silver livery, plenty of sharp angles and clean horizontal lines, this yacht has an unmistakable modern and assertive look. Crafted by the in-house Ferretti team with design input from naval stylists Officina Italiana, the 50 Metri is the new Riva flagship, and a standard-bearer for new levels of space, luxury and amenity in the superyacht class. Inspired by the classic 1964 Riva Caravelle, this yacht boasts the same lavish finish discerning clients have come to expect from Riva vessels but on a much grander scale, with the ability to take this watercraft out for truly oceanic adventures.
1290-square feet of teak-lined flybridge space encourages guests to unwind, work on their tan and enjoy elevated views out to the horizon. Up here there is a vast space to aft for a sprawling sunpad or set of four sun-loungers, while hidden underneath a sculptural hard-top is a sociable seating zone with two low-slung u-shaped sofas, a pair of bespoke coffee tables and a 12-seater dining table. Up front there’s another sunpad zone, this time with a timber-lined jacuzzi plunge pool at its heart, where you can sip on champagne and enjoy the bubbles.
A gigantic upper-deck, meanwhile, boasts a forward sun-lounge with a pair of plush sofas connecting to one of the largest sunpads on the market with room for up to six to soak up the rays, with a tender station located up by the bow. To aft there is an outdoor terrace with sofas, a wet-bar and another dining table, while slide-open glazed doors on three-sides frame a stately upper-lounge with a cognac bar, comfortable seating options and a home entertainment system. A service area and captain’s quarters separates this lounge from a focused pilot-house with a sofa, a map-desk and a leather-lined piloting seat facing a modern, ship-style helm station with the very latest in navigational tech.
An aft-deck one level down features wrap-around glazing, a tempered glass transom wall, a set of sofas and side-steps down to a full-beam bathing platform. A transom garage door opens up to turn this space into a water-level beach-club with a fold-out terrace and access to an indoor bar, while a side-entry garage can host a large jet-tender. A cool and contemporary lounge on the main-deck boasts golden oak surrounds, marble surfaces, hand-woven upholstery, cinema-screen glazing, steel accents, dark lacquered exotic hardwood touches with an Art Deco sheen and futuristic strip-lighting for a sophisticated look and feel. In here you can discover a U-shaped sofa for up to eight as well as an indoor dining table, while at the front of this level there is a galley space and then a huge owner’s stateroom. This palatial cabin features expansive wrap-around glazing, a private entertainment lounge, an enclosed office, a side sofa, a California King bed, walk-in closets and two marble-lined bathrooms with waterfall shower stalls. There is room for eight more overnight guests on the lower-deck across four en-suite staterooms, while service areas, a galley and a separate crew quarters for up to seven members of staff sits by the bow.
