The Princess Y80 is an 83-foot luxury motor yacht with a flybridge that was launched by the illustrious British yacht-building firm Princess in late 2022. A rugged displacement hull from Bernard Olesinski and a super-sleek body from Italian stylists Pininfarina, more typically known for their Ferrari sportscar designs, give this deluxe yacht superb seakeeping and a svelte European form. Expect languid curves, sculptural lines, that timeless Princess panache and wrap-around glazing, as well as a series of minimalist and laid-back living spaces with a contemporary flair.
SI Yachts is one of the largest Princess Yacht dealers in North America and can assist you in building your very own Princess Y80. Looking to sell your pre-owned Princess? A floating hard-top with a retractable sunroof hovers over the teak-lined flybridge, where low-slung steel guardrails or tinted windscreen glazing ensure unobstructed, 360-degree views out across the water. To aft there is room for a pair of sun-loungers, while across the center of the deck there is a plush U-shaped sofa with a timber-lined dining table as well as a walk-in wet-bar with a metal and glass serving bar, marbled work surfaces, fluted paneling, a sink, an ice-chipper, chilled storage and a grill. Up front there is a pair of sedate companion sofas either side of two diamond-stitched helm chairs facing an elevated helm with next-generation navigational tools. You can also alter the bridge layout to install a spa-pool jacuzzi and even tender storage to aft with a hydraulic davit.
A modern foredeck lounge has sun-kissed space for the whole family and boasts a U-shaped forward sofa with a coffee table as well as a huge modular V-shaped sofa for up to six with integrated cup-holders and a drinks bin. This sofa can also be turned into a huge sunpad by fixing the filler cushions in place, with seating out here lined in cool grey upholstery with cushioned backrests. Back in the aft-cockpit there is a shaded pair of sofas surrounding a dining table with views out beyond a tempered glass transom wall. Side steps lead down to a full-beam, teak-lined bathing platform, a sports locker and a transom door into a crew quarters for three. The main-deck salon benefits from wide-screen glazing, cream-toned carpeting and surfaces in your choice of Rovere, Alba or Silver oak with darker Walnut accents and fluted timber highlights. There’s cabinet space, two angled sofas and a tinted glass coffee table back here, while further forward there is a formal dining table for eight and a walk-in galley with dark quartz work surfaces and heavy-duty cooking amenities. A day-head and a pilot-house occupy the front of this deck, and the helm features five touch-screen monitors with bundled instrumentation, power-steering and more.
There’s a restrained, hushed appeal down on the lower-deck, where soft edges and neutral-toned surfaces are joined by widescreen glazing and subdued strip lighting for an elegant place to recharge the batteries. Four en-suite staterooms provide sleeping quarters for up to eight guests, with a twin cabin and a double amidship boasting plenty of room and storage. A VIP double by the bow features two full-height lockers and a queen-bed, while a full-beam master stateroom further back hosts a work-desk, an ergonomic sofa, a walk-in closet, a king-sized bed and a vast bathroom with a pair of sinks and a wet-room shower.
Powered by a pair of 1900MHP MAN V12 shaft-drive engines, you can expect full-throttle speeds of up to 32 knots in ideal conditions and cruising speeds of around 25 knots. At this lower pace you will enjoy a cruising range of approximately 350 nautical miles, while at an eco-cruise of just 10 knots this range expands to an oceanic 1,000 nautical miles thanks to a 1717-gallon fuel tank.
