The Princess Y78 was first introduced in September, 2019 and was designed as a refresh of the popular Princess Y75. While the interior of the Y78 will remain similar to its predecessor, the exterior is getting re-styled to come into line with the new Princess sleeker designs. The new model also joins the S78 Sportbridge and V78 Express as similar models at this length range.

Princess has been tweaking its flybridge designs for years and is a major reason that demand for the builder has grown increasingly well each year. The flybridge on the Y78 is spectacular and takes full advantage of the boat's 18-foot beam. The hardtop sunroof can be retracted to really open up the helm station to sunlight or views of the night sky. The helm is also equipped with a powered console that can be raised or lowered for your comfort along with all of the navigational electronics you could ask for. The NAIM audio system, wetbar, barbecue grill, and ample seating provide a great place to entertain while enjoying the panoramic views.
The cockpit on the Y78 features a large teak folding table with U-shaped seating that provides a wonderful area to have lunch outdoors, yet under the shade of the flybridge overhang. Two transom gates are port and starboard which lead to the hydraulic bathing platform. The foldaway swim ladder allows for easy entry into the water and there is a convenient hot and cold shower there as well.
Moving towards the bow, owners will also enjoy the foredeck lounge area. Rather than simply placing a few sunpads here, Princess created a meaningful space for sunbathing, socializing, or simply enjoying the view while cruising.
As you enter the interior of the Y78 through the cockpit doors, the salon is placed aft and features plenty of seating. A large couch is placed starboard with a coffee table, while another loveseat is on the opposite side. An entertainment center houses a 55" UHD T.V. with the acclaimed NAIM Audio system.
Moving forward, the galley and formal dining area are center on the boat, just behind the lower helm station and staircases to the lower deck. The dining table can seat 8 guests comfortably and offers stunning views through the full-height panoramic windows. The galley is equipped with everything you or your chef will need to create a memorable menu for your guests. Included in the galley are twin stainless steel sinks, refrigerator, deep freezer, icemaker, microwave/convection oven with grill, dishwasher, and plenty of storage space.
The Princess Y78 lower deck accommodations feature four spacious cabins along with four private, en suite heads. The master suite stretches the full beam of the ship and has a large double bed with drawers below. The space in the master cabin is incredible and allows for a sofa, dressing table with chair, hanging lockers, and many more storage opportunities. The three guest cabins are nearly equally as luxurious, particularly the forward VIP cabin that also has a large double bed. The starboard and port guest cabins can have a combination of either double beds or two single beds with the option to electrically convert them to a double.
