The Princess V60 is a sporty sedan-style express cruiser launched by Princess Yachts in 2018. Combining powerful performance with luxurious comfort, the V60 is one of the most recent V-class yachts launched by Princess.
The V60 more than makes up for the absence of a flybridge by packing plenty of external space onto its main deck. At the foredeck there is an innovative, walk-through Portuguese bridge sofa as well as a four-pad modular sunbed with headrests that faces the bow. A quick walk back to the rear via teak-lined side decks will take you to a spacious aft deck with a wet-bar and outdoor grill, a U-shaped transom sofa, extendable teak dining table and steps down to the hydraulic swimming platform. You will also discover a huge tender garage capable of carrying large water toys that sits conveniently below a three-pad sunbed with views out across the stern. There is the option to reconstruct this section of the yacht to provide a crew quarters with transom access should you wish to have staff assist you on your voyages.
The yacht’s hardtop cockpit features a vast retractable sunroof with mullioned panes that opens up above the helm and all the way back over the forward salon for a genuinely al fresco feel, while the use of curving windows stretching across every inch of the cockpit sides leaves the interior feeling bright and breezy. Both upper and lower decks are finished in the sedate tones of rovere or Alba oak, with upgrades to walnut or silver oak available, while carpeting and upholstery can be sourced from LVMH brands such as Fendi or Missoni. There is enough internal space on the main deck to fit in a large U-shaped sofa and modular coffee table, cabinet space, and an L-shaped dining sofa with dining table, as well as a walk-in aft galley kitchen with a serving window out to the aft deck. The kitchen can be topped with Carrara quartz, Avonite or marble, and boasts a four-zone ceramic hob, convection oven, stainless steel sink, full-height fridge-freezer and wet bar equipment.
Below-deck spaces feature an amidship owner’s stateroom with a port loveseat, vanity desk, closet space and a generously proportioned ensuite, while a further ensuite stateroom is available towards the bow. A twin cabin rounds out the overnight accommodation for up to six guests, and all lower deck spaces benefit from dramatic knife-insert windows, with opening portholes, that cut across the hull’s exterior to provide stunning views out across the rippling waters.
The Princess V60 is equipped with twin Volvo Penta D13 1000 V8 engines for top speeds of up to 34 knots, though many owners will opt for the upgrade to a pair of Man 1200 engines for increased full throttle speeds that can easily reach 38 knots. At comfortable cruising speeds of 23 knots the yacht boasts an enviable range of over 300 nautical miles thanks to efficient running and a fuel capacity of some 3,250 litres. Navigational equipment including GPS, chartplotter and more comes from Raymarine as standard while the helm station is also fitted with power-assisted electro-hydraulic steering and bow thrusters for responsive handling.
