A sleek superstructure with a low profile, impeccable brightwork and a resin-infused, low-deadrise hull combine to give the S78 looks as sharp as a switchblade. One level down and you will find a huge aft-deck with a port-side U-shaped sofa, dining table, love-seat and a wet-bar that opens up to the aft cockpit galley for convenient food and drink service. A central walkway down to the teak lined, full-beam swimming platform stands between two spacious tender garages with an integrated launch system, one of which can be converted into a crew berth for two, that are both topped with double-pad Movida sunbeds. This space takes up a whole third of the yacht’s length, making it big enough for that genuine beach-club feel. The main deck cockpit is a breezy entertaining space that benefits from an above-helm retractable sunroof with skylights, triple-sliding glass doors to rear and swooping side windows that are 18 foot long and almost four feet high. There’s plenty of sunlight then, to stream in and illuminate the Walnut, Rovere or Alba oak surrounds, loop carpeting and four fitted sofas, while an aft galley kitchen with Carrara quartz worktops, a 4-zone induction hob and a convection oven will certainly sparkle. Optional interior upgrades, design and furnishings are available from Princess Yacht’s luxury partners in the LVMH range, including Missoni Home, Fendi Casa and Armani Casa for a fully bespoke and utterly decadent feel. Deck areas are also equipped with a Naim audio system and fitted with Bowers & Wilkins waterproof speakers throughout to turn your yacht into a floating disco, or just to play a few sea-shanties.

The lower deck features four sumptuous, ensuite staterooms, with the amidship owner’s stateroom benefiting from private stair access for a that secluded, hideaway feel. This stateroom is full beam with room for a fitted sofa, vanity desk or workstation, walk-in closet and a bathroom lined in marble and mosaic. Downstairs rooms benefit from plenty of natural light and views out across the water thanks to the single-strip knife-insert window that traces its way across the hull.

A pair of powerful MAN V12 1900MHP engines can power the Princess S78 to top speeds of 39 knots, an incredible achievement for a vessel of this size. At comfortable cruising speeds of around 25 knots, meanwhile, the yacht uses less than 375 litres per hour from a tank holding some 6,000 litres of diesel. A hull design from the trusted hand of industry legend Bernard Olesinski and use of a Seakeeper 16 Gyro Stabilizer provides superb balance on the water, while hydraulic bow and stern thrusters provide that extra level of agility for negotiating tricky marinas and coves.
