Released in Autumn 2019, the Princess S66 is a stylish sportsbridge motor yacht that has replaced the much-loved S65. Defined by sleek, aerodynamic lines, a wealth of outdoor space as well as high-performance speed and handling, the S66 is sure to be just as popular as its predecessor.
The S66’s compact open sportsbridge is the perfect place place to command your yacht as you feel the rush of the elements on your face. A starboard helm station with two leather seats is protected from spray thanks to a curving windshield and the option of a Bimini top, and features power-assisted steering, Raymarine radar, chartplotter and all engine instrumentation. There is also room up here for a U-shaped sofa, an L-shaped snug seat, a wetbar console with an electric barbecue grill and a teak dining table.
The shaded, teak-lined aft deck provides plenty of relaxation room, and features a U-shaped transom sofa paired with a teak coffee table, and a lofty three-pad sunbed with head-rests that sits atop a tender garage with side steps down to a full-beam hydraulic swimming platform. The garage is large enough to host today’s modern water toys, with capacity for a 3.3m RIB and a launch system with an electric winch. On the spacious foredeck, meanwhile, you will find a fitted Portuguese bridge-style sofa paired with a three-pad sunbed where you can idle away the hours sunbathing with views out across the bow.
The main deck cockpit retains a breezy and open atmosphere thanks to wrap-around, curved windows, a set of rear sliding glass doors, a starboard access door at the helm and an electro-hydraulic retractable sunroof with mullioned panes. The aft deck’s wet bar also connects to the aft-galley through the use of a removable window to give the main deck a unified free-flowing feel from bow to stern. The galley is large enough for a full-height fridge-freezer, stainless steel sink, four-zone ceramic hob and a convection oven. There is also room here for a leather U-shaped sofa to port, a dining sofa with table to starboard and plenty of cabinet space. Internal spaces aboard the Princess S66 are subject to wholesale customisation, with materials and finishes sourced from high-end partners such as Fendi Casa, Armani Casa and Missoni Home. Indoor and outdoor areas on this yacht also come with integral speakers connected to a Fusion audio system for the crisp playback of music as you entertain guests.
The S66’s lower deck is arranged in a popular four stateroom style, with three ensuite cabins. The pick of the bunch is an amidship owner’s stateroom with full beam dimensions, knife-insert windows on the hull, and room enough for a loveseat with side-tables, a vanity station, and a lavish bathroom with a walk-in waterfall shower. There is room on the yacht for up to 8 overnight guests, while a single-space crew quarters can be fitted as option with access from the transom.
Twin MAN V12-1400 engines provide top speeds of up to 38 knots at half-loads, while a 4100-liter fuel tank carries enough diesel to take you far and wide on your voyages. A lightweight and durable deep-V hull designed by Bernard Olesinski will cut through the waves with ease, while the use of variable bow and stern thrusters, a Seakeeper 9 Gyro stabilizer and trim-tabs provide plenty of agility and sure-footed stability out on the water.
