The Princess S60 is a 62-foot sportbridge motoryacht that was launched in 2017. Defined by sleek curves, angular, wrap-around windows and an ergonomic profile, this one of the most modern and stylish yachts ever built at the Princess shipyard in Plymouth, England.
There is plenty of room for sunbathing and alfresco entertaining on the S60’s sportbridge, with a U-shaped leather sofa that turns into a sunbed, and a rear U-shaped sofa that surrounds a teak dining table. There is also space up on the bridge for a pair of leather helm seats and upper controls, as well as a wet-bar console with an electric grill and champagne cooler. Should the weather take a turn for the worse, or if you desire shelter from the midday sun then there is the option for a Bimini soft-top.
The semi-sheltered, teak-lined aft deck features a U-shaped transom sofa with an extending table, as well as a raised three-pad Movida sunbed that sits on top of a huge tender garage. The aft deck also includes a wet-bar that directly adjoins the aft-galley for convenient food and drinks service to outdoor guests. Steps to port and starboard lead down to a fully hydraulic bathing platform from which to get your feet wet, embark on scuba diving adventures or begin your high-speed jet-ski journeys. The expansive foredeck area on the Princess S60 has been configured to accommodate a walk-through Portuguese bridge sofa and a four-pad Movida sunbed for marina-facing sunbathing. Indoor and outdoor partying on the S60 is a delight, with numerous integral speakers linked to a central Fusion MS-UD650 entertainment system for amplified music throughout the yacht.
Interiors are decked out in light Rovere oak or darker American walnut with cabinetry highlights in Makassar ebony and weave-effect wood for a refined atmosphere of exceptional luxury. Wraparound windows and sliding glass doors to rear provide plenty of natural light and views out to the water as you sit on the two U-shaped leather sofas in the salon and dining area. Rustle up meals in the aft galley, where you will find Avonite worktops, a four-zone ceramic hob, convection oven and a fridge-freezer. The main deck helm station, meanwhile, is constructed out of fiberglass and hand-stitched leather and features Raymarine and Garmin electronics, a power-assisted steering wheel and a pair of dark grey leather seats for comfortable piloting.
Three guest rooms below deck for up to 6 guests include a full-beam amidship owner’s stateroom with a king-sized bed, fitted corner sofa, workstation or vanity dressing table, as well as a spectacular ensuite that shimmers with marble and mosaic surfaces. Below deck spaces benefit from dramatic knife-insert windows and, in the owner’s stateroom, huge trapezoidal single-pane windows.
The Princess S60 more than lives up to its sporty moniker, with a pair of Caterpillar 12.9 or MAN V8 1200 engines providing exhilarating top speeds of up to 38 knots, with comfortable cruising at a pacey 30 knots allowing for a range of some 236 nautical miles. A low deadrise hull designed by Princess Yacht’s trusted naval architect Bernard Olesinski is optimized to reduce drag, while a steeply raked, narrow bow cuts through the waves with ease.
