Launched in 2016, the Princess 75 is a 78-foot luxury flybridge motoryacht that is still available to buy as a new model. Expertly crafted to maximize outdoor leisure space and luxurious, light-filled interiors, the Princess 75 has been showered with lavish praise from industry insiders, who voted the vessel as the “Flybridge of the Year over 55ft” at the 2017 Motor Boat Awards held in London.
The extended flybridge features a fiberglass hardtop with radar station and a retractable sunroof above the helm for alfresco piloting. A central helm station with two leather chairs is surrounded by a pair of forward sofas for plenty of seating space with views out towards the bow. A couple of steps back over the flybridge’s washed teak floorboards and you will find a walk-in wetbar with Avonite worktops and an electric grill to port, along with a U-shaped sofa, teak dining table and a modular sunpad to starboard. There is further space to the rear of the flybridge for dinghy storage with a hydraulic tender crane or extra seating, while a spa-pool can be fitted on this level as an optional extra.
The generous amount of outdoor space continues one level down, with the foredeck boasting a podium-style sunpad with sunbathing space for up to four, as well as a recessed, U-shaped Portuguese Bridge sofa. The aft deck is large and breezy, and fits in a transom sofa with a teak coffee table and steps down towards a hydraulic swimming platform.
Walk through floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors into an aft salon lined in American Walnut, Rovere or Alba Oak with a hook-shaped leather sofa, love seat and central dining table with room for up to 8 diners. A V-shaped galley kitchen lined with black marble worktops and timber floors is located behind the helm station and is separated from the salon through the ingenious use of an etched and translucent glass panel. The kitchen includes a four-zone ceramic hob, convection oven and all of the appliances required to cook tasty, gourmet meals. The cockpit is lined in double-height windows with expansive views out over the side-decks, and also features a retractable above-helm sunroof and a side-door at helm for easy access to the foredeck. Overall the cockpit boasts some 140 square feet of entertainment and relaxation space with plenty of vertical clearance, more than enough to host exquisite night-time soirees or weekend-long parties.
Below-deck spaces, including three master staterooms and a twin berth, benefit from widescreen, single-pane windows and block rectangle portholes for plenty of natural light. The amidship owner’s stateroom is accessed via a private stairwell which opens up into a full-beam room with a loveseat, king-sized island bed, work desk and a large, marble-lined ensuite with walk-in shower and couple’s sinks. A further twin can be reached via a transom door for convenient and private crew quarters.
Despite the emphasis on size, the Princess 75 is a lightweight and speedy yacht that can keep up with the quickest motor yachts around. High-end twin MAN V12 1800 engines will help you reach top speeds in excess of 36 knots, and with a fuel capacity of 6,000 litres, this yacht has an ocean-going range that will easily take you from Miami to the Bahamas and back again.
