The Princess 58 is a 58-foot long flybridge motoryacht that began production in 2006 and continues to be made at the Princess factory in Plymouth, England to this day. The yacht boasts a Bernard Olesinski designed GRP fiberglass hull and a sleek and sporty superstructure for an effortlessly modern feel.
The Princess 58’s spacious flybridge is a lesson in outdoor luxury: a large hook-shaped leather sofa capable of seating up to eight guests takes pride of place. This model also features a further guest sofa to port and a coffee table, as well as two comfortable leather piloting seats at the upper control panel. A compact dining unit close to the helm station features an outdoor barbecue grill and ice maker, and with the top down can double as a bar for the mixing of your favorite cocktails. The flybridge features a Bimini roof to shelter you from excess sun or rain, though should you wish to go al fresco when up top, there is a double sun-pad to the rear for soaking up the rays. Those busy piloting their yacht need not miss out on all the fun, as a full set of navigational controls are included on the flybridge as well as one level below.
Further outdoor space is included on the main deck, with an expansive living space to the bow (which can be fitted with a modular sun-pad) and a semi-sheltered teak-lined aft deck that is large enough to accommodate a five-seater leather sofa to transom. A few steps down and you will find a large, full-beam bathing platform from which to embark on warm-water swimming adventures. This platform also doubles as tender storage and comes with an electro-hydraulic passerelle.
Generous amenities and sumptuous detailing continue into the main salon. An L-shaped sofa to port and a U-shaped sofa to starboard are both lined in the finest leather, and offer space for more than 10 guests to relax. This interior space benefits from the use of sinuous, curved windows to the sides, and a triple-panelled, Italian glass sliding door to the rear for plenty of natural light. A few steps up to the cockpit and you will discover an exceptional control panel with a teak steering wheel, power-assisted steering, Raymarine radar, plotter and depthsounder, as well as controls for bow and stern thrusters.
Below deck there are three sedate guest rooms, including an en suite below-helm master stateroom with mullioned windows, as well as a galley with Avonite counters and the full range of kitchen equipment, including a halogen 4-zone hob, needed to rustle up gourmet meals.
With twin Volvo Penta D12 engines, the Princess 58 is no slouch when it comes to performance, and can reach a cruising speed of 25 knots and a top speed of nearly 34 knots. A fuel tank of more than 2300 liters, an Onan generator and a hull tested on the turbulent waters of the English Channel ensure that this yacht is capable of long-haul voyages across a range of blue-water seas.
