The Prestige X70 is a 71-foot luxury cruising yacht with a flybridge that was launched by the renowned French yacht-building firm Prestige in 2020. The product of a partnership with naval stylists Garroni Design, this innovative yacht wowed critics and buyers alike with its unique full-beam layout and a host of smart design interventions, winning the award for “Best Layout” at the 2020 Cannes Boat Show. Masses of dramatic, reverse-angled glazing above the waterline, dynamic architectural curves, a faceted bow, peerless performance and a deluxe finish combine to make this one of the most intriguing and popular models being built today.

The teak-lined flybridge is covered by a hard-top canopy with a sunroof as standard, though to the rear there is a fully al-fresco sundeck with casbah-style sunbed seating for up to six guests. The center of the bridge is dominated by a marble-topped dining table for up to ten that sits across from a Corian-lined wet-bar console with a grill, an ice-chipper and chilled storage. Up front there is a cocoon-lounge with an L-shaped sofa as well as a pair of leather helm chairs facing the upper helm station. One level down and there is an open space out on the foredeck that can be covered with an optional sunpad, as well as an “infinity cockpit” to aft with stunning dimensions and a glazed transom wall. Back here you will find room for a dining table, a pair of side sofas and a luxurious stern-facing daybed, while side steps lead down to a hydraulic swimming platform and a beach club with fold-down seating, a shower and underwater Fusion speakers.
The salon on this model is a true one-off, boasting full-beam dimensions thanks to the elimination of traditional side-decks, giving the interior an unusually spacious feel that is further accentuated by double-height side glazing flush with the hull edge and steel-framed sliding glass doors to the rear. Rich walnut surfaces, chic mid-century furnishings, glass-topped coffee tables and bamboo-effect paneling with golden backlights present an atmosphere of stylish, restrained elegance with a genuine live-aboard feel. There are a pair of sofas to aft while located forward is an open galley with marble countertops and Miele appliances with an at-home sensibility. Up front you will find a semi-open pilothouse with cocoon-style side seating, Raymarine display screens, a Penta joystick, VHF radio, a Seakeeper 18 stabilizer switch, thruster controls, a reverse-raked windshield that reduces glare and a skipper’s door to starboard.
Cabins benefit from panoramic knife-insert windows with opening portholes, exotic wengewood paneling, authentic stone surfaces, plush carpeting and mood lighting. There is room for up to eight overnight guests down here, across a pair of amidship twins, one of which has an en-suite bathroom, and two master staterooms. The first of these sits to aft and features a queen bed, hanging lockers, a work-desk and a marble lined bathroom with a shower stall. The other is located by the bow and boasts even more space, a private entrance, a side sofa, a queen-sized bed, bespoke cabinetry, a walk-in closet and a deluxe bathroom.
A pair of 1000MHP Volvo Penta IPS 1350 diesel engines ensure that this yacht hits top speeds of up to 29 knots, with consistent cruising speeds of around 20 knots allowing for a range of 350 nautical miles. Utilizing the same robust B-class hull as found on the Prestige 680, this yacht offers true seaworthiness and a balanced, efficient ride across a range of coastal waters.
