The Prestige M8 is a 65-foot luxury catamaran that was launched by the award-winning French yacht-building firm Prestige in 2023. This multi-hulled watercraft, a Prestige flagship, was designed in partnership with Garroni Design and built at the Beneteau shipyard in Italy to deliver space, style and sleek good looks. Expansive floorplates host elegant and contemporary interiors by Valentina Militerno de Romedis for an atmospheric, light-filled and roomy vibe, while a set of sun-kissed outdoor spaces including a floating flybridge make this deluxe vessel a must for summer cruisers.

A svelte hard-top with a wide retractable sunroof hovers over the teak-lined flybridge, an elevated space with the sort of dimensions you would usually expect from a cruise liner. Up here there is a bespoke, metal-framed dining table for up to ten, two swish sofas in cream-toned upholstery, a starboard sunpad and a chunky wet-bar station with a grill and an ice-chipper. Up front and behind a sloping windscreen there are a pair of leather-lined helm seats facing an upper helm station with power-steering, CCTV feedback, a docking joystick, thruster controls, two 22-inch Garmin touch-screens, a mounted compass and digital throttles.
The benefit of building on two hulls is that you can dramatically increase the frameless living space on the main-deck, and the M8 takes full advantage of its vast 29-foot beam to offer masses of breezy and al-fresco living spaces. Head out onto the teak-lined foredeck to luxuriate on a sunpad wide enough for five sun worshippers, or drop down a level by the bow to find a chic casbah-lounge with a sprawling U-shaped sofa and a forward-facing settee. At the opposite end of the catamaran there is an aft-cockpit with a wet-bar, a sofa, a set of ottomans, a timber coffee table and two day-beds framed by a steel and glass transom wall that opens up to connect to an actuating bathing platform that can be used as a floating cocktail terrace or lowered into the water for afternoon swims.
Spacious interiors dazzle with plenty of floor-to-ceiling glazing and architectural steel frames with a geometric flair, while surrounds boast a laid-back coastal vibe with a contemporary twist thanks to plenty of pale timber, brushed fiberglass, piped blue upholstery with a nautical theme and darker granite surfaces. There’s space in here for a trio of sofas, a custom-built coffee table, a day-head, a marble-topped dining table, a walk-in kitchen with Miele appliances and a lower helm station without this area ever feeling cramped.
Prestige have opted for an innovative lay-out on the lower-deck, with the front portion of this level resembling a monohull layout and the rear portion dividing down the two separate hulls. In these separately-accessed aft spaces you will find four staterooms for up to eight overnight guests, with rooms down here boasting full-height lockers, hull windows, double or twin beds and en-suite bathrooms. The owner’s stateroom is located to the front of the yacht and boasts gargantuan full-beam dimensions with room for a king-sized bed, a private lounge with a sofa and armchairs, a walk-in closet and a lavish bathroom with couple’s sinks in stone and a waterfall shower cubicle. There’s also a crew quarters for two members of staff on this level accessed via a separate door.
Powered by twin 600HP Volvo Penta D8 V-Drive motors, you can expect a top speed of 20 knots, while at a cruising speed of around 15 knots you will enjoy voyages of up to 350 nautical miles before requiring a refuel. Sidle along at an 8 knot eco-cruise, however, and this range expands to over 900 nautical miles thanks to dual 489-gallon fuel tanks.
