The Prestige 550 Flybridge is a sleek 58.8-foot flybridge motoryacht first launched by iconic French boatbuilder Prestige in 2011. There are three distinct outdoor entertainment zones aboard the 550. The aft cockpit features a long sofa served by an al fresco dining table with a view beyond the sliding glass salon doors and into the sociable aft galley kitchen. The foredeck features an immense sunpad surrounded by secure stainless-steel rails, perfect for sunbathing and lounging. Up top on the flybridge, which is sure to be a guest favorite, is an aft L-shaped seating area that accommodates eight people with a chic geometric table that stretches from one end of the seating to the other. Forward, you’ll find the two-seater portside upper helm. Like the lower helm, this seat is equipped with Cummins engine displays, Zeus engine controls, a GPS/plotter, depth sonar, a Raymarine multifunction screen E125 (exclusive to flybridge) and dual station VHF, a joystick, a compass and steering wheel. A grill, cool box and sink are all integrated into a single bar area.
The salon features an aft galley with a slightly raised forward living and dining area just behind the helmstation, perfectly positioned to serve the cockpit and the interior with a Vitrifrigo refrigerator and a four-burner stovetop, a combination microwave oven, and an optional dishwasher with plenty of counter space. The forward seating area is configured to perfection, with a sofa to port against the wall and two chairs built into the cabinetry on either side. A dining table sits opposite, with two further freestanding chairs bringing seat capacity to at least six people.
Below deck, you’ll find the full beam aft owner’s suite down a private companionway opposite the galley. This space is an exclusive sanctuary with a king platform bed and two armchairs built into rich wood cabinetry. Big hull windows invite bright natural light for an airy atmosphere, while sedate, stylish furnishings and light upholstery pop against the restrained wood finishes. This cabin has its own ensuite bathroom with separate sink, toilet and shower. A VIP suite is located at the bow, with plenty of integrated storage space and long hull windows with an ensuite bathroom and shower.
The 550 comes equipped with two standard Cummins QSC 600hp inboard Zeus pod-propelled engines which reach max speeds of 30 knots and a 24-knot cruising speed. Options like the Seakeeper gyrostabilizer and a hydraulic swim platform are available.
