The Prestige 420S is a 42-foot coupe-style express yacht that was launched by the renowned French yacht-building firm Prestige in 2020. Fans of Prestige’s 420 flybridge model may well have a flash of recognition when stepping aboard this sleek and sporty vessel, as the design is similar to that of its award-winning sister yacht, but with a hard-top cockpit roof instead of a flybridge. Yet this yacht, crafted by Prestige partners Garroni Design, has plenty of tricks up its sleeve, including masses of on-deck outdoor space, panoramic side glazing, powerful V-drive engines and extra cockpit space to the rear.
SI Yachts is proud to be one of the top Prestige Yachts dealers in the world. We continually stock new models in inventory and have boats on order. We can help you build your own customized Prestige, as well as take your existing boat in on trade. We also have access to a large inventory of used Prestige Yachts for sale.
The best place on this boat to snap your Instagram pics in beautiful, unrestricted sunlight is out on the foredeck, where you will find a triple-width modular sunpad in weather-resistant upholstery with pop-up backrests. Securely enclosed by high stainless-steel guardrails, this sunpad boasts marina-facing views and is easily accessed by ample side-decking. A few paces back and the joys of single-deck relaxation are clearly evident in the teak-lined aft-cockpit, where you will find a touch of extra space over the 420 Fly thanks to the elimination of steps up to the bridge. Back here there is an L-shaped transom sofa with a timber and steel breakfast table, with plenty of storage hidden beneath the seats. Side steps lead down to a full-beam hydraulic bathing platform as well as a transom locker that can host a pair of Seabobs or be turned into an outdoor BBQ grill.
Deep side glazing, including a pair of opening windows, rear sliding glass doors and an electric above-helm sunroof make the salon on this model one of the breeziest and light-filled spaces on the market today. Upon entry you will discover an aft galley that seamlessly connects to the cockpit for easy food and drink service. The kitchen boasts Fortezza flooring, pale oak or darker wengewood cabinetry, granite-effect work surfaces, Miele and Kenyon appliances, a stainless-steel sink, a wine cooler and a fridge freezer unit. A couple of steps, along with a steel and tempered glass panel, separates the galley from a pair of plush sofas that surround an extending table, while up front there is a starboard side helm station with two Raymarine MFD screens, thruster controls, joystick handling and VHF radio.
Two en-suite double cabins on the lower-deck provide plentiful room for a pair of couples to take this yacht out on extended voyages. Knife-insert windows, soft carpeting underfoot, climate-control, hanging lockers, golden hued strip lighting, large double beds and bedside cabinets are to be found in the bedrooms, while bathrooms feature ceramic sinks and spacious shower cubicles.
Another advantage of losing the flybridge is a reduced overall weight by about 1,000 pounds, a lower center of gravity and, thus, more adept handling and faster speeds. While the 420 Fly can reach an impressive 30 knots, the 420S tops out at 32 knots. The twin 425MHP Cummins QSB 6.7 diesel V-drive engines also promote cruising speeds of around 23 knots, with a range of 210 nautical miles at this pace easily achieved across a variety of coastal waters.
