The Pershing GTX80 is a 78-foot luxury motor yacht with a flybridge that was launched by legendary Italian yacht-building firm Pershing in 2024. Rome-based stylists Vallicelli Yacht Design were enlisted to give this sporty vessel a futuristic look with a vertical, wave-slicing bow, a metallic livery, sheer lines, curvaceous glazing and a sharp, assertive edge. This is a yacht built to wow onlookers, impress adrenalin-junkies and deliver effortless elegance and comfort all in one ultra-contemporary package.
Head up to the flybridge to find a lavish entertaining space that sits under a floating hard-top roof. Up here there is space for an aft sunpad, a dining booth with a table, wet-bar facilities and a set of helm seats facing a comprehensive set of outdoor helm controls.
Out on the foredeck there is a modular sunpad with vast dimensions and flip-up cushions that can accommodate up to three sunseekers simultaneously. Want to dine out here? Then play around with the cushions to repurpose this sunpad into a pair of C-shaped dining sofas with accompanying tables. The star of the show on this level, however, is a double-tiered living space to aft with a water-level beach club to stern. Up on the higher level there is an al-fresco cockpit with a transom sofa and a bench seat that surround a bespoke dining table, while two sets of side-steps lead down to an extended, teak-lined swim platform with a pair of fold-out transom walls that drop down to transform into floating cocktail terraces. The swim platform is also robust enough to store a jet-tender, and comes with a hydraulic function for lifting and lowering your water-toy.
You’ll find cutting-edge Italian design on display as you head beyond sliding glass doors and into a main-deck salon with half-moon windows, dramatic strip lighting and a minimalist, almost industrial feel. Expect deluxe materials like silver-toned timber, blue leather paneling, blue metallic highlights, plush upholstery and a geometric parquet-style floor that plays off the sharp angles in here. There’s room to aft for an L-shaped lounge sofa and a walk-in galley with bar stools, a five-zone hob, an oven, refrigeration and a sink, while further forward there is a dining sofa and a set of Ottomans. At the front of this level there’s two adjustable helm seats facing a next-generation helm station with a non-glare finish, two cutting-edge touch-screens, power-steering, and a slew of mechanical and navigational extras.
This yacht’s family-friendly credentials are on display down on the lower-deck, where a stylish entrance lobby and lounge impresses with an L-shaped sofa. To port there is a twin room with a dedicated en-suite while a VIP en-suite cabin by the bow features full-height storage and a queen-sized island bed. A full-beam master stateroom amidship boasts a king-sized bed, panoramic strip glazing, a side sofa, a vanity station, a trio of closets and a plush en-suite bathroom with a wet-room shower.
Powered by a trio of 1000HP Volvo Penta D13 IPS1350 diesel engines, you can expect top speeds of up to 34 knots and slick cruising speeds of around 28 knots. An efficient category A hull offers stamina and agility as you explore the open water, while a fuel tank holding up to 1,347 gallons delivers a cruising range of up to 300 nautical miles.
