The Lazzara LSX Quad 75 is a 76-foot luxury motor yacht that was produced by the Florida-based yacht-building firm Lazzara Yachts between the years of 2006 and 2010. The first yacht ever built to feature four pod-drive engines, this revolutionary vessel delivers heaps of raw power, superb fuel efficiency and a prismatic hull designed for high-octane agility. Yet this sleek and sporty yacht is not just about performance, as it boasts super-sharp, bullet-like looks, sleek contemporary interiors and a wealth of living spaces that are as sophisticated as they are comfortable.
A circular sunpad for two with pop-up backrests occupies an elevated positioned out on a lengthy foredeck that is enclosed by guardrails and lined in washed teak. Broad side-decks lead you back to an open aft-cockpit that can be covered by an extending awning for extra shade, though a quadruple-width sunpad in authentic leather may tempt you to soak up the rays instead. The sunpad features headrests and connects to a transom sofa that surrounds a wide dining table for up to six, while side steps at the stern lead back to a hydraulic bathing platform and a cavernous transom garage large enough for a Williams jet tender and snorkeling gear.
Retractable glazed doors and a slide-down window enhance the connection between salon and cockpit, with a pair of stools and a timber bar outside able to connect with a mini-bar and wine cooler to aft in the salon. Plush carpeting or teak flooring sets the scene for an unashamedly modern living space with ivory leather furnishings, atmospheric block lighting, Okoume hardwood joinery, lacquered walnut cabinets, curved side windows and decadent silk drapery. A day-head sits to port for easy access from the cockpit, while a pair of sofas, an optional coffee table, a pair of brown leather Ottomans and a home entertainment tower make up the rest of the living space.
Towards the front of the salon there is a twin love-seat and a Besenzoni helm chair facing a modern glass dashboard with an ISIS 500 64-channel vessel monitoring system, Penta joystick handling, Simrad VHF radio, Nobeltec Admiral 9.5 display screens with radar, FLIR night-vision camera feedback, Sea Key telematics, a World Folio 3-D cartography system and the option for remote piloting via a Wi-Fi connection. The helm sits under a retractable electronic sunroof for an enhanced connection to the outdoors, while mullioned windscreen glazing lets the light flow into not just the salon but a truly unique, double-story lower-deck with an open, atrium-feel. Down here you will find a lavish galley with granite or marble work surfaces, a glass serving bar, a Miele or KitchenAid four-zone hob, a combination oven, a Sub-Zero or Frigidaire fridge-freezer tower with a water-dispenser, two stainless steel sinks, a Krups coffeemaker and hanging cabinets lined in timber and frosted glass. A U-shaped dining sofa in white leather hugs a huge dining table across from the galley, while timber-framed vertical mullions provide superb views out across the water.
There is room for up to eight overnight guests across the lower-deck, with each room benefiting from en-suite bathroom facilities. A VIP double to the bow is joined by a starboard twin and another double cabin to port, while the pick of the bunch down here has to be the full-beam owner’s stateroom amidship. This palatial suite features panoramic hull glazing, a glass-topped work desk, a loveseat, hardwood cabinets, a king-sized bed, padded wall panels and a marble-clad bathroom with an enclosed waterfall shower.
One of the most fuel-efficient yachts of its type ever launched, the Lazzara LSX Quad 75 boasts a cruising range of around 450 nautical miles at swift speeds of 26 knots, while four 435MHP Volvo Penta IPS 600 pod-drives deliver top speeds of approximately 35 knots. A remarkably quiet ride thanks to sound mitigation throughout, this yacht’s proprietary hull boasts no keel, a soft bow and hard chines for a turning circle around 30% tighter than comparable inboard vessels.
