The Lazzara LPC 85 is an 85-foot luxury power catamaran that is set to be launched by the iconic Florida-based yacht-building firm Lazzara Yachts in 2023. Representing Lazzara’s move into the world of catamaran design, this dual-hulled vessel offers a market-leading amount of on-deck living space thanks to its astonishing 35-foot beam. This allows for the sort of unimpeded, free-flowing living areas that are usually only found aboard much bigger, not to mention much more expensive, super-yachts. Presenting an ultra-contemporary look, a unique patent-pending dual-hull, a minimalist set of interiors and powerful Penta engines, this radically new vessel looks set to be one of the most modern launches seen in years.
Three incredible levels of teak-lined outdoor living space wow with superb sea-views, clean, modern lines and furnishings in sleek white leather for a modern feel inspired by the beach-side villas of Malibu and Ibiza. In fact, the amount of outdoor space on this vessel is more than double what you would find aboard similarly sized conventional yachts. The flybridge sits beneath a light-weight fiberglass canopy with minimal structural supports and boasts a deep jacuzzi spa-pool flanked by two rectangular cushioned daybeds, while a set of sun-loungers sit to aft. Across the shaded central portion of the bridge is a washed oak dining table surrounded by two low-slung L-shaped sofas, with room for a marble-topped wet-bar with a grill at the front. You will also find the main helm on this level, set to be equipped with the very latest in hi-tech navigational electronics.
Moving down one level you will find a sultry and sophisticated main deck with a huge foredeck lounge featuring a sprawling U-shaped marina-facing sofa with day-bed dimensions and a bespoke outdoor coffee table. To aft there is a partially shaded sunlounge with daybeds and wooden sun-louvres adding protection from the midday glare, while the main deck salon benefits from three sets of sliding glass doors and floor-to-ceiling glazing. A pair of sofas, numerous coffee tables, a walk-in bar with stools, a ten-seater stone-top dining table and a lower set of helm controls round out this breath-taking modern space.
The final outdoor space on this catamaran is the most talked about, featuring a cabana-style beach club area to aft with not only a hydraulic bathing platform that can host a jet tender but a set of fold-out bulwarks to port and starboard that turn into floating cocktail terraces. A collection of four outdoor settees, coffee tables, bar facilities, an outdoor shower, wall-mounted HD TVs and storage for water sports gear make this the perfect place to relax, entertain or enjoy the sea.
The Lazzara LPC 85 differs from most catamarans on the market by eschewing two distinct living spaces in each hull and instead offering one full-beam lower-deck living space. This is achieved by suspending a central portion of the boat floating just inches above the waterline between the two hulls to allow for cabins of astonishing size. The owner’s stateroom sits to aft and enjoys direct access to the beach-club. It boasts a double sized bathroom with marble surrounds and a waterfall shower wet room as well as a king-sized bed, a walk-in dressing room, a work desk, a private living room and sliding glass doors to the deck. Elsewhere on this level you will encounter four more en-suite double rooms with breathable dimensions, dynamic hull glazing, semi-enclosed bathrooms and decadent furnishings. There is room to the front of the lower deck for two double crew cabins, as well as a full-beam galley kitchen with a six-zone hob, a convection oven, refrigerated storage, a ceramic ink and a dinette sofa.
This yacht is powered by twin 1000mhp Volvo Penta D13 shaft-drive diesels for top speeds of around 20 knots and consistent cruising speeds of 15 knots. There is also the option to fit this catamaran with a pair of 1800mhp MAN V12 engines for even higher speeds, while a fuel tank holding 6,340 gallons of diesel should keep you out on the water for the long-haul.
