The Lazzara 112 is a 112-foot luxury motor yacht with a flybridge and a pilothouse that was produced by the award-winning Florida-based yacht-building firm Lazzara Yachts between 2004 and 2006. A sharp hull with an ultra-fine entry has been fixed to a superstructure with more curves than an iced wedding cake for a look that signals this yacht’s aerodynamic credentials. Cresting wave and dolphin’s fin windows, wide structural flares, a rounded hood on the bridge and a best-in-class amount of sun-drenched outdoor space will be the first thing you notice about this sporty vessel, but it won’t take you long to admire the tastefully appointed interiors or the rugged and powerful engines after cruising on the 112.
This is a yacht built around fun. Up on the flybridge there is a jacuzzi hot-tub surrounded by a set of cushioned sunpads or L-shaped sofas in piped upholstery where you will enjoy soaking up the rays. Guests can also fix a waterslide to this part of the bridge to smoothly propel themselves down to the water, or they can head to the shaded portion of the bridge to fix up drinks at a walk-in wet-bar with a teak bar-top, stools, an ice-chipper and an outdoor grill. Across the rest of the bridge, you will encounter curving side sofas, cocktail tables, a dining booth and a fully equipped upper helm. At the very front of the bridge there is a watertight companionway door leading to an enclosed pilothouse where serious navigators can get to work utilizing thruster controls, MTU throttles, Garmin display screens, Icom VHF, a Simrad compass and NorthStar GPS to chart their course.
At the front of the main-deck there is a secluded daybed with marina-facing views ideal for enjoying private picnics, while to the rear there is a teak-lined aft-cockpit with a transom sofa, a dining table, a wet-bar station and curving side steps down to a hydraulic swimming platform that doubles as tender storage and not one but two capacious transom garages capable of storing jet-tenders.
If the exterior is defined by fun, then the interior has a more sedate and sophisticated mood, ideal for hosting smart evening soirees. Guests will discover surfaces in African cherry with mahogany accents and polished marquetry throughout, and they will recline on plush leather sofas or armchairs that have been paired with timber coffee tables and upholstered Ottomans. Further forward and framed by varnished timber columns there is a formal dining table for eight, while a glazed bulkhead with China display cabinets hides a forward galley with stone floors, black granite counter-tops, a U-Line ice-maker, a GE microwave, a KitchenAid oven, a 5-zone Bosch hob, a huge Sub-Zero fridge-freezer, a steel double sink and a dining sofa for eight.
Up to twelve overnight guests will enjoy a peaceful night’s rest across a plush lower-deck with five distinct staterooms, each with en-suite facilities. A bunk-berth for up to four sits to starboard while a trio of double VIP cabins sit toward the bow, each benefiting from cedar-lined closets, soft carpeting and portholes. The prize catch on this level has to be the full-beam owner’s room amidship, where lucky guests will enjoy a work-desk, a side-sofa, a king-sized bed, hull mullions, a walk-in dressing room and two bathrooms that are linked by a huge wet-room with a waterfall shower and marble or granite surrounds.
A pair of MTU 1800 CV diesel engines fire the Lazzara 112 to top speeds of around 25 knots and comfortable cruising speeds of 18 knots.
