The Lazzara 106 is a 106-foot luxury motoryacht with a skybridge that was produced by the iconic Florida-based yacht-building firm Lazzara Yachts between 2003 and 2005. Though the bow entry is ultra-fine there is barely a sharp edge to be found elsewhere across this impressively sized vessel. Soft curves and an aerodynamic superstructure are matched by tear-drop windows and rounded flares for a profile directly inspired by the dolphins that play in the waters off the Gulf Coast. Interiors, too, eschew hard angles for free-flowing and curvaceous living spaces with plenty of natural light, while powerful engines and a seaworthy hull make this is a natural-born performer on the high seas. Named as one of Robb Report’s ‘Best of the Best’ for 2003, this yacht remains an immensely sought-after vessel on the used market thanks to its deluxe finish, handsome styling and breathtaking dimensions.
The rear portion of this yacht’s skybridge remains open to the elements and can be used to store a jet-tender or to host an aft sunlounge. There is a circular jacuzzi spa-pool back here that can be covered with cushions and used as a daybed when not in use, while a pair of half-moon sofas paired with timber-topped breakfast tables trace the sides of the bridge. Moving forward you will find the front portion of the bridge covered by a wrap-around fiberglass hood with sculptural architectural supports, open side windows and angled windscreen glazing. In here there is a walk-in wet-bar with stools, a sink, chilled storage and an ice-chipper, while you will also discover a dining sofa with a table and a centrally located upper helm.
There is further sun-kissed outdoor space one level down, with a Portuguese bridge-style sofa out on the foredeck and twisting side-steps to stern leading to a beach club area with two transom garages capable of storing jet-skis either side of a full-beam, teak-lined hydraulic bathing platform. The aft-cockpit offers a more shaded and secluded retreat with a curving transom sofa, a dining table and an outdoor wet-bar station with a grill.
Rounded sliding glass doors lead guests into a palatial main-deck salon featuring makore or cherry interiors with marble borders, Onyx accents, brocaded upholstery, Fabrica carpeting, glass-framed cabinetry, beveled timber paneling, speckled granite counters and panoramic side glazing. There are a trio of plush sofas in here surrounding a glass-topped coffee table with four leather ottomans, while an art-deco inspired bar and a formal dining table for up to eight sit further forward. A mirrored bulkhead flanked by wooden pillars and a glass display cabinet separates the salon from a main-deck galley with country kitchen dimensions, granite work surfaces, a double-width Frigidaire fridge-freezer, a Kitchenaid five-zone hob, a Sharp microwave, an LG convection oven, a stainless steel sink, a Scotsman ice-maker, a wine-cooler, a Bosch dishwasher and a C-shaped dining booth.
For all-weather piloting head up to the enclosed pilothouse, where you will discover a map desk, a leather helm seat, Jastram hydraulic steering, TRAC bow thruster controls, Garmin electronics, ICOM VHF radio, Northstar GPS, Furuno radar, Simrad autopilot, a KVH compass, engine feedback monitors and ABT digital stabilizer controls.
This yacht’s mammoth dimensions become clear across a plush lower deck with stately surrounds in authentic wood, where up to eight overnight guests can enjoy en suite facilities, queen-sized beds, expansive hull-glazing and good head clearance. A trio of double cabins and a lower-deck living room occupy the front half of the hull, while a full-beam owner’s stateroom amidship impresses with a side-sofa, a work-desk, glossy timber cabinets, Shoji wall screens and a double bathroom with Silestone or pink granite counters and an enclosed wet-room.
A pair of MTU 16V 2000 diesel engines help this yacht to achieve top speeds of up to 27 knots, while at comfortable cruising speeds of 22 knots the Lazzara 106 enjoys a globe-trotting range of over 1,000 nautical miles.
