The Hatteras M98 Panacera is a 100-foot luxury motor yacht with a flybridge that is due to be launched by North Carolina-based boat-building firm Hatteras in 2022. One of the largest yachts ever built at the Hatteras shipyard, this bona fide super-yacht impresses with smooth lines, dynamic side glazing, sleek contemporary interiors and a wealth of beautiful, sun-kissed outdoor deck spaces. Yet this is also a powerful and seaworthy Hatteras, which should come as no surprise given the rich Hatteras tradition of crafting sportfishing yachts that can stand up to rugged bluewater conditions.
The huge, teak-lined flybridge sits serenely underneath a fiberglass canopy with a glazed skylight above the helm. This is a yacht designed to be piloted from an elevated position, and the dashboard up here features Raymarine or Garmin electronic touchscreens, a proprietary HattCON system monitor, bow and stern thruster controls, a CAT Three60 docking joystick and VHF Radio, all protected from spray by a curved, Venturi-style windscreen. Should you wish to pilot your M98 Panacera in more northerly climes then there is also the option to enclose this forward portion of the bridge for greater protection form adverse weather conditions. The bridge also features a walk-in wet-bar with marble work surfaces, a Kenyon Texan grill, an icemaker, chilled storage and six bar stools, as well as a sprawling U-shaped sofa surrounding a pair of coffee tables. At the rear of the bridge there is room for a sunlounge, though this space can also be used to store a jet tender with a sturdy hydraulic davit.
On the main deck level, a secluded foredeck lounge boasts a pair of Portuguese Bridge-style sofas connected to a marina-facing sunpad ideal for lazing all afternoon in the summer rays. At the rear, meanwhile, you will discover a sheltered aft-cockpit with a transom dining sofa and a mini-wet bar. This is the first Hatteras yacht to feature a beach club lounge at the stern, where a submersible hydraulic swimming platform in teak connects to a transom door that lifts open to reveal a wet-bar, an L-shaped sofa and a home entertainment system. This space can also be used as a garage to store water tenders should you prefer to stay a bit more active while your vessel is anchored.
Sumptuous interiors come lined in your choice of Sapele Mahogany or European Walnut, with Whisperwall cushioned wall panels, stainless steel accents, authentic stone counters, leather furnishings and curved modern cabinetry offering a sedate and luxurious finish. To aft there is a salon with a pair of lounge sofas, ottomans and armchairs, while amidship there is a formal dining room for up to eight that benefits from floor-to-ceiling side glazing. Located at the front of the main-deck there is a country-kitchen galley with a central island, a dinette booth and all the modern conveniences required to assemble gourmet meals.
Across the lower-deck you will find room for up to eight overnight guests across four en-suite cabins, each with lozenge-shaped hull windows. To the bow there is a double room with two full-height closets, while amidship there is a full-beam owner’s stateroom with a king-sized bed, a loveseat, a work-desk, a double bathroom and timber-lined closets. Also located on this level is a private crew quarters for up to four with its own galley and en-suite facilities.
A resin-infused fiberglass hull is said to perform well even in challenging conditions, while the option of a zero-speed hydraulic fin stabilizer will eliminate most roll while at rest. You can choose between twin 1900MHP CAT C-32A engines or a pair of 2600MHP MTU diesels to fire the Hatteras M98 Panacera to top speeds in the mid to high-20 knot range.
