The Hatteras M60 is a 60-foot luxury motor yacht with a flybridge that was launched by North Carolina-based yacht-building firm Hatteras in 2015. A fiberglass canopy protects you from sun and showers as you relax on the flybridge’s L-shaped weather-proofed sofa to port, while a pair of Pompanette Platinum helm chairs benefit from a Venturi windscreen that shields from spray. The helm up here features digital displays from the likes of Garmin, Raymarine or Furuno, as well as an optional CAT monitor, VHF, bow thruster controls, a docking joystick and Seakeeper gyro switches. Also on offer to the rear of the flybridge is a wet-bar station with a Kenyon grill, and space for an aft sun lounge that can also be fitted with a hydraulic davit should you use this area to store a water tender.
On the main deck level there is a modular foredeck lounge featuring an integral sunpad that can be swiftly transformed into a sofa with a backrest. To the rear there is a curved transom sofa out on the aft-cockpit that surrounds a teak and glass dining table, as well as side steps down to a full-beam swimming platform
A relatively wide beam of 18 feet, frameless sliding glass doors to the rear and cresting wave side glazing combine to give the open plan salon a real sense of spaciousness. Exotic hardwood floors, authentic stone surfaces, glossy cabinetry, plush carpeting and deluxe leather furnishings usher you into an aft lounge that is as comfortable as it is sedate. An L-shaped sofa surrounds a bespoke coffee table and sits across from a curved storage unit that hides a home entertainment system and a pair of designer armchairs. A single step separates the lounge from the open galley, where five fridge-freezer units, a dishwasher, a wine-cooler, a four-zone ceramic hob, a stainless-steel sink, a kitchen island and a combination oven await. Adjacent to the galley sits an L-shaped dining sofa that hugs a breakfast table, where you will enjoy sampling gourmet delights long into the evening, and a starboard side skipper’s door for easy access to the side deck.
The lower-deck really makes the most of its best-in-class dimensions by offering three generously proportioned cabins for up to six overnight guests. A bunk berth to port shares a lower head and shower with a double stateroom to the bow, while an amidship owner’s stateroom offers full-beam width, a king-sized bed, bedside cabinets, full-height closets, panoramic hull-side glazing with horizontal mullions and a timber lined bathroom with a waterfall shower.
A pair of CAT-C18A 1015MHP diesel engines offer full-throttle speeds of up to 32 knots, with long-range cruising speeds of around 20 knots demonstrating superb fuel efficiency for those who enjoy extended voyaging out to sea.
