The Galeon 530 HT is a 53-foot sports cruiser yacht with a hard-top that was produced by Polish boat-building company Galeon Yachts between the years of 2008 and 2014. Designed in collaboration with industry legend Tony Castro, this mid-sized family cruiser impresses with a sharply angled profile that hides a wealth of hand-finished, curved indoor retreats with an emphasis on sheer luxury. Powerful Penta engines, a well-balanced hull and a good amount of al-fresco deck space make this a popular option on the used and charter markets to this day.
A double sunpad out on the foredeck provides that all-essential space to soak up the sun and snap Instagram pictures, while a full-beam swimming platform lined in weather-proofed teak to the stern offers a great place to set off on warm-water bathing. The platform connects to the sheltered aft-cockpit via a transom gate, and a four-seater transom sofa with a table sits snugly underneath a glazed sunroof.
The main deck salon benefits from shark-fin windows to the sides and an entirely glazed roof for an atmospheric and light-filled mood even on gloomy days. Curved sofas, rounded cabinets and semi-circular tables in your choice of walnut or mahogany present a sinuous contrast to the sharply-defined exterior of this yacht, while furnishings and accents in plush leather offer guests supreme levels of comfort. A loveseat and a U-shaped sofa surrounding an extending table greet you as you enter into the salon through sliding glass doors, while ahead of this there is a J-shaped galley with granite-effect counters, a four-zone Siemens hob, a combination oven and under-counter Vitrifrigo chilled storage. At the front of the cockpit there is a compact forward lounge with a C-shaped sofa and the main helm station, where Raymarine electronics, Side Power thruster controls, VHF radio and power-steering promote confident piloting.
Galeon have opted for a popular three-cabin layout across the lower deck, with a twin bunk berth to port joined by two en-suite staterooms. The room to the bow features a side seat, a timber-lined hanging locker, hidden storage, a double bed and a skylight, while the full-beam aft-cabin boasts an armchair, curved cabinets, a queen-sized bed, an optional work-desk and port-hole windows, The two bathrooms on this level are lined in marble-effect Corian and feature enclosed shower cubicles. There is also a private crew quarters for two with its own head to the rear of the boat accessed via a transom door.
Certainly no slouch in terms of performance, the Galeon 530 HT can reach full-throttle speeds of up to 33 knots and cruising speeds of 28 knots thanks to twin Volvo Penta D12-800 diesel inboard engines. A pair of fuel tanks holding a combined 2200 liters of diesel, meanwhile, offer more than enough in reserve for extended island-hopping.
