The Ferretti 630 is a 65-foot luxury motor yacht with a flybridge that was produced by iconic Italian boat-building brand Ferretti between the years of 2005 and 2010. The product of a joint effort between Ferretti and naval stylists Studio Zuccon, the 630 strikes a superb balance between an assertive profile and the smooth, classic curves of its wrap-around glazing. And though equipped with powerful engines and innovative electronics, this is a Ferretti Boat that is really all about supremely comfortable cruising, hence the impressively sedate, hand-finished interiors and effortlessly cool outdoor lounge areas.
A fiberglass canopy with a retractable sunroof provides much needed shade across the flybridge, where you will discover a raised lounge area with a u-shaped sofa and a wet-bar station with an icemaker and an electric grill. At the front of the bridge there is a port-side upper helm and an almost full-beam sunpad for up to three guests who can enjoy views out across the bow while sunbathing. Yet more sun-kissed outdoor space is available one level down on the foredeck, where a triple-width sunpad with a marina-facing aspect provides the perfect spot for afternoon picnics. If you prefer to stay out of direct sunlight then head back to the sheltered and teak-lined aft-cockpit, where a pair of transom loveseats either side of a steel passarelle are matched by twin cocktail tables that have been tailor-made for aperitivo hour. Side steps to starboard lead down to a full-beam bathing platform that is sturdy enough to host a jet-rib and spacious enough to act as a beach-club lounge for those who like to get their feet wet.
An innovative aft-galley connects to a serving station on the aft-cockpit via a fully pivoting window, while sliding glass doors ensure plenty of fresh air flows into the salon. The galley comes with black marble work surfaces, teak or pine cabinets, a four-zone Bosch hob and oven, a Miele dishwasher and a stainless-steel sink. Dark timber floors across the rest of the salon exude a handsome and elegant feel when paired with plush leather or upholstered furnishings, and guests can enjoy relaxing on either an aft-chaise longue or a U-shaped sofa with a coffee table. At the front of the main-deck you will find a niche dining space for a trio of guests and a port-side helm station that is equipped with Raymarine electronics, BCS electro-hydraulic steering, Side Power thruster controls, a Urania steering compass, VDO engine feedback and MapTech 48-mile radar.
Three en-suite cabins on the lower-deck are some of the most spacious you will ever find on a boat of this size. A VIP double to the bow features a queen-sized bed, a hanging locker, a skylight and lozenge-shaped portholes while a starboard twin has enough space for additional storage and a bedside cabinet. The full-beam owner’s stateroom boasts steel-lined mullioned windows, a side chaise with a built-in massage setting, mirrored wall panels, a work-desk, a king-sized bed and a walk-in closet.
A pair of 1224MHP MAN V12 CRM diesel v-drive engines with prop tunnels provide top speeds of around 33 knots, while at a cruising speed of 25 knots you can expect a blue-water range of around 300 nautical miles. The Ferretti 630 also comes with a Mitsubishi anti-rolling gyrostabilizer as standard for that extra bit of balance while out in choppy waters.
