The Ferretti 590 is a 59.8-foot luxury flybridge motoryacht first launched by the venerated Italian shipyard in 2003-4. Produced in 74 units, the 590 was a commercially successful model that is still popular today on the used and charter markets. Impeccable joinery, stunning design, and a genuine family feel aboard this yacht are result of Ferretti’s longstanding collaboration with Studio Zuccon International, a family-run, Rome-based superyacht design firm. The 590 offers the marriage of beauty and robust performance that Ferretti is known for.
Ferretti Yachts has taken great care to optimize all useable space on this vessel, with substantial windows in the salon and large portholes in the owner’s cabin, each giving a sense of a much larger boat. Outdoor space is also generous, with a large sofa and rectangular table on the flybridge, which also boasts a fridge, sink, and optional grill – plenty of room and amenities to enjoy a long, lazy day on the Med. A large sunlounge and chaise-longue near the helm provides guests an unobstructed view of the sea.
A stairway with a gentle incline allows safe access to the cockpit on the main deck; a further, smaller staircase near the aft-deck chaise-longue provides direct access to the stunning salon. Upon entry, the impeccably finished light and dark cherrywood accents which provide the perfect balance of home comfort and elegant style. A long, curvaceous U-shaped sofa to port seats at least seven people and is gathered around an extendable table perfect for tapas and cocktails. Opposite, a bright sideboard with storage hosts a television, while a smaller two-person seating area nestled into the corner for more intimate conversations.
The whole living area, however, is laid out to encourage convivial conversation between owner and guest. To create an even greater sense of space and contact with the elements, the salon can be opened up to the aft deck via the sliding glass door to your right and a horizontally-opening upper hatch on the left-hand pane.
Forward and up three steps is the cockpit area, with a comfortable helm seat that matches the furnishings throughout the main deck. A curved seating area to starboard hosts a rounded table for a further dining area. In the center, stairs lead to the lower deck where you will find the 4 well-appointed cabins. A bright, naturally-lit double master is located amidships, with a large wardrobe. The VIP suite is almost as big as the owner’s cabin, with enough room to move around in, a mirror above the bed, and windows all around to provide a sense of light and space. A third cabin features two twin beds, and there is a further fourth cabin near the stairs and next to the galley.
The 590 is equipped with two standard MAN 1100 engines and can reach top speeds of 35 knots with a cruising speed of 32 knots. The aft bathing platform is elongated and capable of housing a jet ski in addition to a tender on the spoiler.
