The Ferretti 830 is an 85-foot motor yacht with a flybridge that was launched by renowned Italian boat-building firm Ferretti back in 2006. Produced in collaboration with naval stylists Studio Zuccon, Ferretti built and delivered more than 40 of these sleek and sporty models to discerning clients around the world. A full-beam flybridge, an aft-beach club, tear-drop side glazing, hand-finished interiors and powerful engines combine to make this the ideal mid-sized cruiser for families and partygoers alike.
The 830’s flybridge can be fitted with either a roll-bar or a hard-top canopy depending on whether you prefer direct sunshine or partial shade, but either way there is plenty of opportunity up here to relax and entertain while staying connected to the elements. The rear of the bridge is given over to tender storage with a hydraulic davit, as well as space for a jacuzzi spa pool that is surrounded by sunpads and topped with a cushion when not in use. Across the central portion of the teak or fiberglass-lined bridge you will discover a sprawling S-shaped leather sofa, a breakfast table and a wet-bar station with an icemaker and a Gaggenau electric grill, while up front there is a fully-equipped upper helm with bench-seating and a forward sunpad.
A triple width modular sunpad fitted onto the foredeck is complemented by a sheltered aft cockpit to the rear that boasts a transom sofa and a full-sized teak dining table. Steps at the stern lead down to a hydraulic bathing platform and a tender garage that can not only hold today’s modern water toys but features a timber-lined door that transforms this area into an aft-beach club when fully opened.
Interiors lined in glossy cherry and authentic elm are matched with furnishings in beige upholstery to give the main deck salon a classically sedate feel. Always well-lit thanks to panoramic side glazing and sliding glass doors to the rear, the salon features an L-shaped sofa, armchairs, ottomans and cabinet space with room for a home entertainment system. This area flows freely towards a formal dining table with space for up to eight guests where you will enjoy many memorable meals crafted in the enclosed on-deck galley. The port-side galley boasts dark granite counter-tops, a stainless-steel double-sink, Bosch cooking appliances and a full-height GE fridge. A pilothouse occupies the front of the main-deck, and includes booth-style seating, an adjustable helm chair, Raymarine electronics, trim tab controls, Side Power thruster throttles, Shipmate VHF and electro-hydraulic power steering.
Up to eight overnight guests will enjoy peaceful slumber down on the lower-deck, where four en-suite cabins with porthole or mullioned windows offer plenty of room to stretch out and relax. A pair of amidship twins and a VIP double cabin to the bow are joined by a full-beam owner’s stateroom with a queen-sized bed, a side sofa, a work desk, a walk-in dressing room and a bathroom for two. There is also crew space for up to three located at the rear of the lower-deck and accessed via a transom door.
A pair of Mitsubishi MSM-4000 Anti-Rolling Gyro-Stabilizers keep this yacht well-balanced, while twin MTU 12V 2000 M94 diesel engines provide top speeds of around 33 knots and cruising speeds of 27 knots on this Ferretti.
