The Azimut Seadeck 7 is a 71-foot luxury coupe-style motoryacht that was launched by the iconic Italian yacht-building company Azimut in 2023. A sheer monolithic profile with sleek lines, a swept-back cockpit and vertical bow entry is the work of renowned naval stylist Alberto Mancini, who was tasked with creating a contemporary vision of breezy and laid-back life at sea. Designed with sustainability in mind, this eco-friendly watercraft utilizes solar panels on the roof, electric hybrid engines to stern, carbon-fiber in the superstructure and low-impact materials throughout the deluxe living spaces.
A low-slung forward lounge shielded from view by high bulwarks boasts a wide sunpad with integrated headrests and cup-holders, ideal for working on your summer tan in utter comfort and seclusion. Head back to stern, however, to discover an innovative aft-lounge inspired by the latest beach-club trends. This space features a “Fun Island” comprised of a vast modular sunpad with a sliding backrest that can be used as a stern-facing sunpad by up to four guests or as a dining sofa facing a bespoke timber table and a set of chairs in the cockpit. Also located back here are a pair of fold-out bulwarks that can transform into floating cocktail terraces at the touch of a button, radically expanded the yacht’s usable space. A couple of steps down leads to a vast swimming platform with hydraulic actuation and a sports locker, perfect for kids who like to leap into the salt-water.
The main-deck salon benefits from fully opening sliding glass doors, not to mention slide-open side glazing to give this space an elemental connection to the ocean. Contemporary interiors are the work of designers Thun & Rodriguez, who have chosen a muted palette of pale cream and subdued off-white for an elegant and restrained appeal. Expect to find partially recycled and sustainable materials throughout, including golden oak, fluted timber, woven thread wall panels and linen accents. In the lounge there is space for an L-shaped sofa, a day-bed, bespoke ottomans and hand-crafted coffee tables, as well as a starboard wet-bar with chilled storage. Further forward you can position your pilothouse beyond a full-height bulkhead for extra privacy while navigating, or open this space up to create one breezy, single-level main-deck. The helm is equipped with a futuristic non-glare dashboard with touch-screens, power-steering, great visibility and all of the extras needed for inch-perfect docking and an intuitive ride. Layout options include room for a galley on this level or on the lower-deck, where cinema-screen side glazing and recessed, low-impact lighting offers an atmospheric feel. Down here you can expect to encounter a trio of lavish staterooms, each with spa-like en-suite facilities, queen-sized beds, ample storage and extras like chaise-longues or work desks.
This eco-conscious vessel will produce up to 40% lower carbon emissions when compared to equivalent vessels from rival brands thanks to its electro-hydraulic train-drive engines, but there’s no need to sacrifice power or speed when pushing this yacht to its max. A pair of 900HP Volvo Penta D13 IPS1200 motors should prompt top speeds of up to 32 knots at full-throttle, while at a 23-knot cruising speed you will be out on the water all week thanks to a 264-gallon fuel tank and an efficient deep-V hull.
