The Azimut Grande 44M is a 143-foot luxury superyacht that was announced by renowned Italian yacht-builder Azimut at the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show. Azimut generated a frenzy of excitement for this new flagship of the brand, with five models already sold before details were released. Crafted in partnership with renowned naval stylist Alberto Mancini, the Grande 44M boasts super-sleek lines with rounded, wrap-around glazing, an assertive modern profile, a shimmering metallic livery and a wave-slicing bow-entry. Contemporary living spaces are the work of M2 Atelier, who have combined deluxe comfort with a minimalist and restrained vibe, making the most out of the market’s biggest panoramic windows.
Crowning four decks is an elevated skybridge with room to aft for a teak-lined sun-terrace with sun-loungers, marble-topped bar facilities and a u-shaped outdoor sofa in demure leather-effect upholstery. Head beyond sliding glass doors and into a climate-controlled upper lounge with a cognac bar, convivial seating options and access into a forward pilot-house set to be equipped with state-of-the-art navigational tech. The upper-deck, meanwhile, can be turned into a private owner’s deck with dedicated lounge, galley and cinema-room facilities, as well as one of the market’s largest full-beam staterooms with dramatic forward glazing. Out front there’s a secluded foredeck lounge surrounded by high bulwarks with a range of al-fresco seating options and a firepit, perfect for soaking up the rays in splendid isolation. Alternatively you can make this deck more sociable by including an upper salon and dining area, or by entertaining guests at an outdoor aft-terrace with a range of sunpads and sofas.
Down on the main-deck there’s a vast teak-lined mezzanine deck to aft with an infinity plunge-pool surrounded on two sides by double-width day-beds, glazed transom walls and a sheltered outdoor dining space for the whole family. Drop down one level down to find a beach-club hovering just above the water-level with a lounge retreat, fold-out bulwarks that transform into floating cocktail terraces and a fixed swim platform to stern perfect for your more active guests. Head into the main-deck salon to discover frameless sliding glass doors, floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, fluted teak decking, contemporary furnishings with a minimalist and refined flair, two curving sofas in plush upholstery, a selection of bespoke marble-topped tables, a pair of armchairs, a dining table and wall panels showcasing bespoke artworks. Ahead of this there is set to be a slew of main-deck staterooms with opulent finishes, superb proportions, far-reaching views beyond the windows and dedicated spa-like en-suite bathrooms. You can expect even more en-suite accommodation down on the lower-deck, bringing the total overnight capacity to 12 lucky guests. There’s also crew quarters for five, service and galley areas as well as tender garage options down here.
Built with sustainability in mind, this vessel boasts an electric Mild Hybrid Plus Zero Emission Hotel mode developed by Asea Nautica for up to 30% reduced emissions when compared with equivalent yachts. There’s also Hull Vane foil technology to generate forward thrust and reduce stern waves to enhance efficiency, as well as a Pierluigi Ausonio-designed Dual Mode hull for improved fuel consumption. Yet this watercraft is still a superb performer out on the open seas, and features a pair of 1550HP MAN engines as standard or optional upgrades to twin 1800HP MAN motors for top speeds of up to 17 knots.
