The Azimut 60 Flybridge is a 59-foot flybridge motoryacht launched by Italian boat builder Azimut in 2018. The yacht features the very latest in design, with geometric exterior lines designed by Stefano Righini, as well as a next-generation hard-chine planing hull with a variable deadrise and a vertical Alfa Bow crafted by expert naval engineer Pierluigi Ausonio.
The flybridge on the Azimut 60 has been constructed from lightweight carbon fiber that allows for an increased surface area without adding additional tonnage to the vessel. The extra space is utilized to fit in an upholstered U-shaped dining sofa that hugs a marble-topped table, a wet-bar console with an icemaker and an outdoor barbecue grill, as well as a cocoon-style sunpad positioned forward to starboard. Sitting alongside the sunpad are twin helm seats and an upper control station equipped with power steering, a joystick, Zipwake Active Trim Control and the latest in navigational controls. At the rear of the flybridge there are no side walls, only stainless-steel guardrails, for superb visibility, and an open space that can used as dinghy storage or as an extra seating area.
Steps down to the aft deck reveal a teak-lined space with a transom dining sofa as well as steps down to a swimming platform and an extending passarelle. Up on the foredeck there is a Portuguese bridge-style sofa as well as a three-pad sunbed that can be converted into a second sofa.
Interior design by Achille Salvagni takes its cues from the extensively glazed superstructure to create a light-filled and breezy cockpit salon that is full of stylish, and safe, curved surfaces. Customers can pick from either the Gran Milano or Riviera design package, though both benefit from joinery and paneling in lightwood, wengewood flooring, painted accents in tones like bright daffodil yellow or muted straw, brass spotlights and the occasional piece of leather paneling. The aft salon features a broad, U-shaped sofa with a coffee table as well as a fitted loveseat, while an informal, low-slung dining space to starboard boasts a floor-to-ceiling window matched with a cutaway bulwark for superb indoor natural light and expansive views out across the water. A walk-in galley to port is stocked with the latest in modern Miele appliances, while the lower helm station provides two comfortable seats from which to command your vessel.
Up to six overnight guests and two members of crew can sleep soundly in the lower deck quarters, where you will discover a capacious twin berth, a master V-berth to the bow and a lavish, full-beam owner’s stateroom amidship. The owner’s bedroom is large enough for a pair of seats, a full wardrobe, a delightful en-suite bathroom, and is well-lit thanks to panoramic hull windows. Extensive soundproofing below deck, meanwhile, ensures a peaceful night’s rest even when on the move.
A pair of Volvo D13 900MHP engines fire the Azimut 60 Flybridge to top speeds of 32 knots, while at cruising speeds of 8 knots the vessel has an oceanic range of 779 nautical miles.
