The Azimut 54 is a 54-foot flybridge motor yacht that was launched by the Avigliana, Italy-based boat builders back in 2013. Designed for leisure cruising and built with plenty of outdoor entertaining space, the Azimut 54 impresses with a sleek and curvaceous exterior designed by Stefano Righini. The yacht boasts cresting wave windows to the cockpit sides, signature glazed fins attached to the radar tower and to the rear of the flybridge, and an internal layout that is clean and minimalist.
The expansive flybridge on this vessel benefits from a hardtop with a retractable sunroof, a tinted windscreen and an open space to the rear for tender storage. The starboard side of the teak-floored flybridge is given over to an L-shaped sofa with a breakfast table that directly adjoins a large cocoon-style sunpad area with backrests that traces the contours of the bridge. To port there is space for an angled wet bar with an electric grill, as well as the upper helm controls.
One level down and you will discover a teak-lined aft-deck with a U-shaped transom sofa and two sets of side steps leading down to a hydraulic bathing platform. Wide side decks lead out to a foredeck fitted with a sunpad for up to four sunbathers. The internal cockpit has been designed by the in-house Azimut design team and features pale oak floors and cabinets, white leather furnishings, matte fiberglass walls, Italian carpeting and stainless-steel fixtures for a restrained yet elegant feel. A U-shaped sofa greets guests as they enter through rear sliding glass doors and sits opposite from a cabinet space with a hidden HD TV. Positioned amidship there is a walk-in galley with Miele appliances and a Silestone Blanco worktop as well as a dinette with an L-shaped dining sofa and an oak dining table. Up front there is ergonomically-designed main helm station that has been equipped with the latest Raymarine electronics, trim tab controls, bow thrusters and a Volvo Penta joystick for superb steering.
On the lower deck there is room for up to 6 overnight guests across a side twin berth with Pullmans, a master en suite towards the bow with scenic windows and skylight, and a lavish owner’s stateroom positioned amidship. This owner’s room is full-beam and benefits from large triple mullions on either side of the hull, as well as an angled, king-sized island bed, a pair of armchairs either side of a desk, plenty of storage space and an en suite bathroom decked out in waterproof oak with chrome taps, a walk-in shower and a TECMA toilet.
The Azimut 54 can be fitted with your choice of engine, but the top of the range option is to go with a pair of Volvo Penta D11 725MHP engines with top speeds in excess of 32 knots. SI Yachts is more than happy to search the brokerage market to help you find the right pre-owned Azimut Yacht. Comfortable and consistent cruising of around 27 knots offers more than enough pace for thrill seekers, while running your yacht at the lower speed of 21 knots provides a range of around 400 nautical miles. A deep-V hull with a variable deadrise, meanwhile, is coated in both Epacryn and isophthalic resins for protection against osmosis and proves balanced and slippery while out on the water.
